Re: Crank length
I use time pedals and have no real knee issues Due to pedal strikes, i would be interested to try some 5 and 10mm shorter- given the expense I wont be trying this anytime soon. (PS: riding doesn’t need to hurt or ache, even after a long ride) You were not trying hard enough, if it does not hurt, aft...

Re: Never legal to wildcamp on Dartmoor?
I keep seeing the word 'illegal' in relation to Dartmoor, so does that mean that Dartmoor has now pulled rank over the rest or England / Wales, where wildcamping isn't illegal as it isn't a criminal offence or are some folk simply not making a distinction between criminal / civil? that is not how t...

Re: Never legal to wildcamp on Dartmoor?
Depends if they say what you can do and the thing you are doing is not on the list then they dont need to define it, for example. If you can walk then they dont need to define what a bicycle in the law, they just have to know its not walking. The camping one is interesting as to exactly when it stop...

Re: Anyone gone back to sus forks (from rigid)
Do any of us except on the internet ?I don’t really do much servicing, adjusting or talking about my suspension forks
IME they are not as complicated to set up or service as some seem to think.

Mine used the Vaude de one you link to[ assuming its the one that you can increase the size off] and they worked well
Forget how many years use i got from them but we only went when it was warm [ or not freezing]
The eternal issue with kids how much to spend on something they will grow out of

Re: Anyone gone back to sus forks (from rigid)
Great for rough stoney gravel tracks and i like mine. I call mine the comfiest rigid fork when folk ask what it's like as it's not really a suspension fork. Why not go for the worst of both worlds and buy a Lauf?
Basically great for Yorkshire dales not great for Lakeland descents

Do you consider flour to be quite heavily processed or ground seeds? The above list looks to be quite heavily processed
Drank 2 huels on le jog but mainly as I was aware my diet was not balanced and it had loads of vitamins etc
Think I would prefer to eat than just drink on rides YMMV

Re: Never legal to wildcamp on Dartmoor?
Illegal - banned by law from doing murder for example
Unlawfull - legally don't have the power to do what you did - Johnson closing parliament to avoid votes .
No idea which wild camping is but it is civil not criminal ( unless criminal trespass which it never will be if you leave when asked )
