Re: The post man's been ...
Longish post sorry, but it’s a bit of a deliberation/review as well. Reg swore he’d never have a seat harness rather than a seatpack. Reg today has a seat harness. Reg swore he’d never have a frame bag. Reg today has a frame bag. What an embarrassing sell out  . He’s definitely, er, not gettin...

Does her outfit conform to EN13595/17092 do you think? Very irresponsible putting that on the front page.

Re: WTD - Lightweight Stove Solutions
Bit weird being buried down in Classifieds with this talk about stoves, but whatever, good place as any. Sean asked me where I bought my Ti foil/sheet from for windshield construction porpoises. Firstly, I checked in Morrisbums (at the same time as I was measuring their cream pots - see other thread...

Ah yes the well-named 'watermeadows'. And that collapsing canal towpath - I was there yesterday. It's been a problem spot for years. If that blows, my cellar will probably fill up with water about 10 seconds later with no amount of 'sticking fingers in dykes' (*) doing any good whatsoever. (*) Oi! J...

Re: The post man's been ...
Getting a bit confused with all the posts about pots and stoves (never mind those posts with open fires in - hah!) but just had an illuminating conversation with Sean about supermarket pots. Having discussed how we both did our respective mothers shopping (mine and mine and his and his, not mine and...

Also don't use nasty meths, go for bioethanol like I do. Two reasons. 1/ You can drink it if you get stuck in a snowdrift overnight. 2/ It annoys Stu (the main reason to do it, obviously). Where do you get bio ethanol from Reg? B&Q last time. Have had 1L bottles (Vango?) from Milletts(?...

Please can we have a mass-bivvy on Mike From Bromsgrove's Bridleway? I'd like to collect all the swear words issued by the farmer when he turns up and finds 200 Boners kipped out. We could each announce ourselves in turn to him, it would only take a couple of hours.. "Hi, I'm Stu from Pennant&q...

Guess you already know the tip about pre-warming the stove/fuel. I stick mine under my armpits (*) while doing something else. Not sure why it helps much but it does for me.

Re: WTD - Lightweight Stove Solutions
If you're starved of amusement like me, it's hugely entertaining, albeit a bit wasteful admittedly, just setting the 22g on fire and simply watching it for 7 minutes. I did that when I first got one. I remember being fairly stunned and childishly delighted as the very gentle initial burn suddenly ch...

Yah it is indeed. If you could check your pot that'd be much appreciated. I'm sure it must have been your good self who was 'watching' my russian doll contortions a couple of years ago, and the most important question (correctly!) for you was what originally came in the pot! Turns out the 750 needed...
