Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

Well done to everyone sticking at this and I think if you've found a way that is working for you great. If you need to make adjustments or changes further down the line you'll know yourself. My loss this week is completely surprising, I was half expecting a gain, but 1lb loss is fine with me as I'm...

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

Better choices in food and cycling Moder-Dye. I was doing longer rides last year and found I was eating lots to compensate. However I read somewhere that for weight loss keeping your rides down to 1hr to 1.5hr was a good balance where you get a good level of exercise but without that craving for foo...

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

I'm struggling this week as I seem to be eating all the time.
On todays ride I feared I was going to bonk so entered McDonalds for a coffee but also had 5 coated chicken strips, yummy!
Just hoping that all my cyling is gonna outweigh all my eating, lol.
Well see on Friday wont we.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

3rd time lucky trying to post this.
I've no distance or time goals whatsoever. Just to ride consistently. Some days it might just be my commute of under 3 miles other days it will be much more. Just gonna ride.

Re: Fatfighters 2018 Weigh-in Thread

Re: Fat fighters 2018

I weighed in this morning as Mondays always works for me.
18st 6lb or 258lb or 117kg
Waist measurement is 50" and chest is 48"
100kg would be a nice round figure for me.
Goal is to eat less/better and ride my bike every day of the year.

Re: Bikepacking with Severe Obstructive Slaap Apnea

Yes my condition is caused by the muscles in my throat relaxing and then obstructing my airways. Tests show I stop breathing for more than 10 seconds a time approx 72 times an hour so I can manage one night without the cpap sleepwise but the risk of choking to death is great.

Bikepacking with Severe Obstructive Slaap Apnea

Does anyone here manage multi day trips with this condition. I use a cpap machine to help my ability to breathe while asleep but its heavy and bulky and requires 240v power supply. So far my bikepacking has been limited to overnighters but I'd like to try longer adventures if I could find a way arou...
