It could be that the GPX file is route points rather than track points. Garmin devices usually only like track points. If you send me the GPX I can check and fix. dave@phased.co.uk

I do not recommend Barbary Castle as you will be disturbed by late/early dog walkers. Same on Hackpen Hill. Liddington Hill is a good shout in the copse at the top.
