Stick and CUP.

Don't forget the cup.

Re: Photos you have taken in the last month of which you lik

A slight deviation from the norm - life is a little too over-subscribed to get out on a bike much at the moment but here's a few I took in the last month I'm happy with. Sorry there'[s no bikes. Later in November maybe. Both taken mid-Channel in around 38m. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4450/374562...

Thanks to Sean's tipoff, nice panda bells :-bd. I must say they are slightly more, er, monumental than I expected. Might put one on each side of the bars for double panda-power. http://imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/10/02/20171002_153045f5c77.jpg This is what you might want instead - proper bikepack...

Re: Velogical Rim Dynamo Experiences?

Off the wall suggestion from me, but could you engineer something that retrofitted at hub level to avoid the mud situation that I fully empathise with. There's a few out there - this one even works with disk brakes. Whether it works with 12mm through axles is another thing... http://bicyclehobo.com...

Re: Packing paralysis.

I've got a dose right now. I should be prepping a camera housing for a 4am departure to Dieppe (with a stop halfway to dunk said camera, housing and self in the briny) but instead I'm dithering.
At least it's all in a plastic tub already.

What, like a Bear Bones jersey?
Dunno, maybe. Do they come in blue serge?

Re: Rear mech hanger

Oli is right and the one in there snapped beautifully saving my rear mech and the frame. They are the mechanical equivalent of a fuse. On farm machinery there's typically a "shear bolt" or similar, if something jams the machine then this snaps, shears, and the power from the tractor doesn...

Re: Rear mech hanger

Indeed. Stronger is not always bad - sometimes it's a useful thing - but there's times when it's not. Some of the better quality children's bikes (no names ;) ) come with replaceable drop-out/hangers these days and 'sometimes' the metal flange that holds them on is thinner than the hanger, with the ...

Re: New bod saying hello.

One of the best things about this caper is the lack of establishment. The is no definitive 'right' answer. Only what's right for you. Which is largely appealing - and I'm looking forward to finding out what that is. My current ride is a Salsa La-Cruz set for fast commuting/roughstuff, but I've got ...

Re: New bod saying hello.

Hi Oli. Sawing your toothbrush in half is only the first step mate. Next step: remove your valve caps. Hah - what valve caps? My general valve cap philosophy is that they only serve to slow down the time it takes to fix a flat. Yes - I'm old school all the way - tubes for me (Schwalbe please). Not ...

New bod saying hello.

Howdoo - I just joined (thanks Stu) and thought i'd introduce a little... A little over 7 months ago I had a total hip replacement, previous to which I suffered too long and was essentially trapped to the built environment (other than scuba diving) - now my main ache is to get as far away from tarma...

Re: Rear mech hanger

Cheers Boss - that was me. :)

Wheels Manufacturing are distributed by Madison, and nearly every bike shop in the UK will have an account with them. They're pretty good at sorting deliveries asap too - unless you've found one already.
