Re: Fuel for the bb200

Things that are easy to chew as you ride. I found skittles hard to manage while pushing myself and attempting to gain much needed calories. Honey roasted nuts and soft gummy sweets were more successful. I always have a few gels in case and otherwise high carb foods, pasta etc. When I rode BB I stopp...

Re: The post man's been ...

Not the postman, but a trip to Aldi furnished me with a new Merino mid layer and beanie. I have a load of Aldi merino base layers and they are always brilliant in value and performance and have out lived my Endure Baabaas and Planet X ones. The Aldi mid layer is the first of its kind with some nice ...

My thoughts exactly. If they were lighter they would be worth try. I wonder if they are a Jones collar as all of the Surly's were equipped with Jones loops the other year.

Re: Norfolk gravel

Between Swaffham and Downham, so not far North of Thetford, but I tend to give it a wide berth and stick to mixing it up around here. What we lack in hills we make up for in head winds and you can put together some great long rides with minimal traffic. If you ever want to hook up, let me know.

Re: The post man's been ...

Today I took delivery (Well rather collection from a local shop) a pair of Giro Terraduro shoes. I had ordered a new pair of Shimano shoes to replace my much loved old pair, but they were seemingly out of stock and Evans hadn't told me after five days. To their credit they recovered the situation by...

I was thinking of the 50. I'm hoping I can convince the girls they want to drive me over and allow me to ride and drink. Is there plenty of good riding your side of Norfolk?

Re: Show me your Kanga set ups with Jones bars

I run a set of Jones loops and I have never bothered with a bar harness. I use an alpkit dry bag and pass the straps over the rear part of the bar and through the bags loops and then over the front of the bar. I pull the straps tight and it sits close under the bars. It doesn't wiggle or move and it...

Re: Thermos / Flask that fits in a bottle cage?

I have a trail 42. In a metal cage it can be a bit rattely. A bit of electrical tape on the cage and it is all good.

Not a huge volume, but I can't really fault it.

I still subscribe to Singletrack. I never really read it a quick flick when it arrives. I keep subscribing out of a sense of duty.

I really miss the irreverent bullshit of the Outcast.

Maybe its time that we did something about it and produced our own mag...

Re: Decent Outdoor Camera Recommendations

Im thinking about getting the Olympus TG-4, as it may be the perfect adventure camera and suit all my general holiday needs when my iPhone isn't going to cut it. I had originally looked at the Nikon Aw130, but while more expensive the Olympus comes out far better. http://www.olympus.co.uk/site/en/c/...
