How cold?
I’d like to capture how cold it really was when I see out overnight.
The temperature gauge on my watch, shows me the warmth inside my sleeping bag.
Any one got a small and simple solution, that works?

I've got a Superfly (as well  as the Cloudburst) which is bombproof and great in grim / winter conditions. Those Thunderflys and the various sized variations look good. Used yours yet and any feedback? Get it form the States direct? I hesitate to ask what it all cost. Sorry Stu - off on a tan...

Re: 1m long carbon pole - 11g
Tarp spread poles? How much? Now that's an interesting idea. I've seen them in pics for the Cloudcover tarp that goes with a WB Ridgerunner. Will watch this thread with interest and if you want some dim's or a tester let me know (or if you want the tarp to frig around with I don't mind sending it o...

Re: Iron Raft packraft build
Had a session today doing my second simple seam but I used the wooden former that Charlie mentions(without the masking tape) and it's made such a better joint than a metal mixing bowl. It didn't slip around so was easier to place the seam then iron. Probably won't get back to it until after the sum...

Re: UQ Cumulus Selva
I've got a large sized Cumulus Selva 300. It's a decent size, easy to fit and now Ive learned to cinch it up tighter than I had been to stop the wind getting under it and robbing all the warmth, it's pretty good - very light and packs down small. Its the usual Cumulus quality too. One feature of it...
