I know there's been previous threads about this, but there's a new video out:

Was a pleasant surprise to find it waiting for me last night.

Still not coming back next year though.

Re: Your bb200 bike

Do I spy carbon 29+ rims there
Are they going to be for sale through your website Michael?

After riding with you to Barmouth, I'm really taken with the Travers bikes. Like the idea of an Angus for my Rohloff hub, combined with carbon forks and rims....

Re: Dynamo lights 101

I use a SP PD-8 dynamo hub. I have one on my road bike, and a PD-8X (15mm bolt-thru) on the mtb. Wire it up to a Kemo M72N USB charger and through to an Exposure Revo. Only downside is the Revo really. Its designed as a MTB light, so projection is rubbish for the road, it wastes too much light, but ...

Eating lots, but anything sugary makes me ill. Think I've developed an allergy to jelly babies, fig rolls and stroop waffles due to over-dosing.

Too much stuff in the drybag, but I was glad of the warm (heavy) sleeping bag later.
Dropper post and long forks made the descents in the first bit to Mach and Barmouth lots of fun :-)

Re: BB200 - Spectators Corner

Oh, my one real route question: Here: http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=284517&Y=343470&A=Y&Z=120 Why not go down the nice smooth swoopy trail to Craignant, rather than slogging on along variable sheep track and tussocks? And what was the recommended way out at the bottom? I eventually ho...

Re: BB200 - Spectators Corner

Holy cow. I got home this morning at 10am. Finished at 8:45 to be welcomed by a fantastic bowl of prroidge and massive bacon bap. Thanks, well needed. Sooo much harder than I thought it would be, on account of being massivly tired before even starting, and those bloody bog-trots and hike a bikes tho...

Yikes! Mine was 40lb! That said, all I'll have on my back is water and a spare pair of socks and gloves, and my borrowed sleeping bag is a lot heavier than I realised.

How hard are the Welsh bog trots, compared to pushing your bike up Cross Fell from Kirkland. Twice?

Re: 1 week to go...

How on earth are you going to find a sheep track in the dark? (Assuming it will be dark as you're trudging along?) Nowt showing up on Google earth.. In other news, aswell as bikehike, I've discovered that you can load the route (by copying and pasting the contents of the gpx) into wheresthepath, so ...

Can you connect either Garmin to an external charger, eg dynamo hub, or are they both AA batteries only?

So here's what I ended up with, a seatosummit drybag and a 2m webbing strap:

It worked, but it took 15 minute to lash it up tightly. So I've just bought a Wildcat Tiger for future use :-)

Re: Hello. Bearbones newbie - saddlebag question

Thanks Do you need a 'load of clothes'? Yes. Its first proper rip will be the LEL in July, I want to carry a dry bag with a set of dry clothes in, in case the worst happens and i can't make it to the bag-drops. But its got to be good enough to use off-road too in the future. I have a Jaand frame bag...

Hello. Bearbones newbie - saddlebag question

Hello. You may know me from the Singletrackworld forum. You may not. Veering tentativly into the world of bikepacking, mixing it up with epic mtb rides and audaxes. Can anyone recomend a saddlebag/harness system for carrying a load of clothes essentially. I like the look of the Wildcat Gear Tiger, b...
