Re: Sand Stone Way

Just noticed this thread. I live in Hexham, so if you have any questions about the southern end of the route, fire away. I've only ridden it as far as Bellingham, and that was in winter when it was a bit sub standard. Plan on taking a cheeky mid-week day off when the wind is easterly, getting the tr...

WTD: Rohloff 17T Cog - possible swap/PX for 16T

Bought a new 16T cog, then remembered a long-term plan to replace with a 17T.
Anyone want to swap? or just sell me one?

AARRGGHH!!
I'm probably going to have to bail on this. 99% certain I'm moving house the following friday (waiting for solicitors to confirm) so spending the weekend playing on bikes isn't seen as a sensible thing to be doing. Rats. :-(

What he should have said was:

"Light; strong; cheap; this year's model. Choose three"

I'm happy to float a couple of years behind the technology and save money!

Re: The BB200 ... what's going on?

It also highlights just how much time I lost by getting the best night's sleep in literally years by being on top of a hill in the middle of nowhere, rather than at home with the kids, as you see the constant stream of riders coming past me while I'm still....

Re: SP dynamo hub - is mine borked?

Email Vic at Shutter Precision:
shutter.company@msa.hinet.net

He's always happy to help. You may need to send the hub back to him, but he'll replace the bearings and send it all back for free.

Re: Dynamo Hub setup issues - HELP!

Cheers James. I've actually been in touch with Vic at SP in Taiwan, through Lloyd at Ison. He agrees its an electrical connection failure, so the hub is going back to him to be fixed (and have new bearings in it) Means I need to strip and then rebuild the wheel, but Vic has suggested a design improv...

Thanks.

And MTB dynamo hub definately borked :-( I see Ison are distributing SP Hubs so I'm going to see if they can help, rather than sending it back to Taiwan.
