Re: Oregon issues

So I get the difference between routes and tracks. But why is the Oregon changing the name of the routes when I save the routes to the device?

Re: Oregon issues

I think when I first planned a route on bikehike I saved it as a route and tried to load it to my etrex and there were way to many waypoints. Save it as a track and all is fine.

Re: Oregon issues

They are just links to gpx files for walking routes. I guess if they are routes that is why they are saved in a different place. Is the difference a route just has more waypoints? Not sure why they load them on the garmin as numbered files instead of the file name though....

Oregon issues

I am loading some gpx files on a friends Oregon 650. I thought it would be much the same as the Etrex 30 which I use. Right click on the gpx link, save it in the gpx folder in the Garmin. However when I go to find the file on the Garmin it is not in track manager, but in route planner. And the files...

Navad

Anyone down to ride the Navad on the 17th of June? Fancy a car share? Flying is a pain and the train seems to be very pricey...

Re: Brittany

Thanks guys. I will be going Plymouth/Roscoff. Getting a train down a ways and riding back up might be a plan. Just trying to get my head round possible routes.

Going to pop to Brittany for a last minute cycling tour. Has anyone ridden around there and have any tips for routes? Will be on MTB so mix of on/off road good.

Re: Braunton 150

I appreciate the feedback. I have spend (a lot) of time riding the route and ground checking new additions. I tried to add a bit more flow to the second half of the course and take in some of the coastline as it is beautiful. Especially if the weather is good with epic views across the Bristol Chann...

Re: Braunton 150

Nothing too technical. And not long enough to be a pain in the arse if you don't want to ride it.

Re: Braunton 150

To expand a little. The coastal A399 there is a stunning bit of coastal road. The section from Combe Martin to Ilfracombe is tricky as there is little bridleway and the back roads are super steep and its tricky to get any flow East to West. So I have made it nice and simple with the A399 between CM ...

Re: Braunton 150

No this years route for the group start will be different. I will email it out this weekend. There is a road section round past Watermouth Caste to Ilfracombe. But there is an added off road climb out of Lee and technical descent. All evens out.

Re: R.A.P.H.A. travel. If you thought the clothing was price

I have expensive gear - Assos and Crikey, how much. I have less expensive gear - mainly Decathlon stuff. I can't see any difference in quality or feel any in terms of comfort or performance. And in terms of longevity the Decathlon jerseys and bibs seem to be holding up better if anything. At around ...
