Re: All the bears.

I aim to start Rhayader on Saturday 10th
Take a week off work and have a semi- leisurely ride.
Bothy for night one then 100 ish km a day thereafter.
Enjoy the route as much as anyone can a BBx route.

Re: All the bears.

Would people fancy a group start the second Saturday in September, so, 10th September 2022?
School holidays have finished.
Still long days, warm, but not too hot.
Weather usually fairly well settled in September

Re: USB-powered AA battery charger

I use these high powered ones that can charge from your powerbank overnight https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0828GN5RL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 EBL 1.5V Lithium AA Rechargeable Batteries 3300mWh I have those too. Handy for convenience but not actually high powered. T...

Re: USB-powered AA battery charger

Eneloops for me ... https://www.batterystation.co.uk/panasonic-eneloop-pro-aa-hr6-2500mah-rechargeable-batteries-4-pack/ A pair will run my Garmin Oregon 450 for 2 days, so taking a spare pair will do 4 days. But maybe a charger works better for some. I have those exact same batteries. Get ~ a day ...

Re: USB-powered AA battery charger

Think you can run the Garmin directly from a USB cable from a Powerbank Need to select Garmin mode instead of USB / Storage Maybe just Etrex30 I will await either confirmation from the forum, or to be corrected. One can, appreciate that. And I killed a Garmin doing just that. So this is a heads up ...

USB-powered AA battery charger

As many here I use an AA-powered Garmin hiking type GPS for bikepacking. Fine for short (long weekend trips) when I usually take a few sets of spare rechargeable batteries. I appreciate LiON batteries last longer; however, I am a tight arse Northerner.  So, been looking a small, lightweig...

Re: North Lakes Spring Break - 19-20th March

Well that was sunny. And windy. Apologies first of all: Ton/asposium - We missed you - we were in the Sun Inn from 2 to 2.40ish, then were too late for Whinlatter cafe, bypassed Lorton to get to the Kirkstile Inn, which was full and not serving anyone else. Which left us in the Comms black hole of ...

Re: USB-C PD chargers for travel

I have a similar charger at work
Unfortunately the U.K. plug is fixed.
So would need to carry a U.K. to Euro adapter.

Ironically, the USA version of the Anker charger has removable mains plugs.
U.K. version is fixed. 🤷‍♀️

USB-C PD chargers for travel

Hi, Seeking a USB-C PD charger for bikepacking, hiking, and travel. Wondering if fellow boners have discovered an interesting charger. My requirements: + Two USB-C PD sockets + At least 20W per socket (any more than 20W per socket is pointless) - If greater than 40W output then symmetrical power spl...

Given the nature of the previous 2 years, I'm really looking forward to this years WRT. I'm expecting a bumper turnout and a bit of 'normality' .
