Re: selling bike through courier

Thanks for the advice, will double check my box size. It's only a kids Frog bike but I used a std bike box to make it easier.

selling bike through courier

quick favour please, selling a bike and it has to be couriered. I've only done this once before a long time ago.

Are Paisley still a preferred courier and what is the norm for courier payment; buyer, seller or split?

Brooks saddles

Brooks saddles... are they all they're cracked up to be? I've bought a nice new shiny bike and I'm thinking of upgrading the saddle, are they really that comfy (after the initial "wearing in" period) Also is it a faff to treat them or are the synthetic ones equally as good or basically are...

Re: Exped Synmat blown baffle

I've never heard of anyone repairing them but that doesn't mean someone hasn't. I'd be tempted to have a word with Lyon who distribute Exped and see if they might help ... maybe a reduction on the cost of a new mat? Took your advice Stu (not for the first time) they confirmed you can't repair a blo...

Exped Synmat blown baffle

Sadly/stupidly (delete as applicable) I've blown a baffle on my EXPED Synmat UL Typically it's just over 5 years old so can't be replaced/repaired under warranty. Does anyone know if it's possible to repair? Don't really have the funds to replace it so I'm hoping it's not fubbered. Cheers https://i....

FS - two Frog 69s

selling two Frog 69s, both in really great condition and if I'm honest hardly been used as my daughters have decided riding isn't for them. Going to chuck them on Fleabay and Faceache for £300 but will offer here first for £250. Let me know if you want more photos. I'm North West based and would pre...

Thoughts on waist bags

Need to rejig my setup and may lose space on the bike, can possibly review how much kit I need but will still need extra carrying capacity.

don't want to take a rucksack but thinking maybe a waist bag.

Anyone got any experience please and/or any pros/cons and recommendations.

Re: Wtd kids bike for 11 year old boy

Hi Stuart,

I've got a Frog bike (26" wheels) in excellent condition that I think might suit. My 12 year old has just outgrown it.

Send me a PM if you're interested.

Re: down jacket recommendations

What is it that you want it for Mark? It's no good buying something that's ultra light if you want something for the depths of winter or buying a jacket containing 400g of down if you just want something to wear on a summers evening. If it's something for winter, then I wouldn't discount a hood. Mu...

Re: What happened to 24 hour racing?

My very hazy memory is of meeting Stu for the first time at SITS/MM many, many moons ago. We were both ambling to our bikes as I seem to recall.

(Of course I may have dreamt that. 🤔)

Daft question Tony but is it definitely tinnitus? I went to the doctors with what I thought was tinnitus, turns out all I needed was my ears syringed. Had it done and it made a massive difference.

Just worth checking?

I think the best solution would be to fix your back, is there any yoga/strength training you could do? Hi Rob, Currently in the middle of a course of physio but will look at strength training as you say. To be honest only just got back on a bike and still not "allowed" to bivvy in my gard...
