Re: Switchable dynamo lighting - pic heavy
OK... :???: But in principle, if you didn't mount your Dakota/Edge on your stem, the C2C could be mounted there with the switch along side, right? Would there be any disadvantage in doing that? Thinking as I type - full carbon forks and the C2C system don't work do they, as you've no route out of t...

Re: Switchable dynamo lighting - pic heavy
Thanks, the connectors were included to try and make it as versatile as possible. I had a plan to make sure that i reversed one of the connectors so that I could remove the usb charger and switch and just use the Revo. This seemed a great idea to me, so I was slightly annoyed with myself after I rem...

True! I don't usually use the 800 on the hills, I had it plugged into to the C2C to get a feel for when it was getting enough juice and when I needed to pedal faster!johnnystorm wrote:All that effort to make room for a GPS that you don't appear to use.....

Nice job Drew and I'm glad to see our taxes are going to good use  Don't worry, I was on tea brake and I used the dynamo to power the machine! :???:   I did consider setting it as a pupil task at one point though... in fairness some of them may have done a neater job! Cheers though...

Re: WTD: Carbon / plastic tube ID: 20mm
Thanks both, Yes it's the internal diameter that's the key, I have a SPDT switch that I want to mount to be able to switch the feed from the revo to the usb charger or just off. So overall the strength requirement is low, the plastic bit may be a winner Zippy, but don't worry too much if you can't l...

Hi folks,
I don't suppose anyone has a small length of carbon or plastic pipe ~30-50mm long with an internal diameter of 20mm and external diameter of ~22mm?
Happy to pay and cover postage
Thanks

Dynamo wheels - kept for best?
Thanks for the collective input about how hubs and rims, Shona at keep pedalling sorted me out with a SP PD-8x on a stans crest rim. Just thinking about getting it taped and putting a tyre on it and turned to think about how folk use them? Do you / is it advisable to just run it as a normal front hu...

Which rim for a dynamo hub?
Hi folks, With some birthday money and the prospect of all my lunchtimes on duty I reckon that I'm going to invest in a dynamo hub. I reckon I've decided on the SP PD-8x as a hub, seems to be well respected and robust, and with the insert can be used with standard QR and bolt through options to make...

leg warmers
Hi all, After many years faithful use, my outwet leg warmers have left me with rather nice red rings around my thighs after the BB200, only this year, and the last few long rides have been fine. Whether it was just the extra long route last weekend, but I also ripped a massive hole in the calf somew...
