A great watch and definitely don’t make them like they used to.
We are so lucky with all the resources to hand and the ‘advance’ in technology that give us nice lightweight bikes and dependable kit.

They are normally really good with warranty things having had a few frames replaced by them. Looks at the pictures IMO I would guess the mech or chain has impacted that but hard to tell not being there. Must say in all my ham fisted gear changes I have never snapped a hanger changing gear. If it was...

From last reports seeming an RTA cover up. Sure there was something about a girlfriend from one of the men arrested was being charged aswell from what I remember reading.
Really sad news and such a shame it took so long to find the answers.

Re: You'll probably enjoy this ...
Yeah met him on a few hills and fair play. Did have a discussion with him the first time we met when he told me that he would be the very first person ever to attempt and potentially complete the Munro’s by bike. Had to break it to him that it’s already been done. Think I would be getting a kids bal...

Re: Jones goes electric
Just why.
Motor looks like it will take a few hits and get caked in mud alongside the battery now taking up the main storage space and I won’t mention cables.
Whoever built that bike and left the cables like that should be looking for a new job.

Would definitely agree with Argyll but living here I suppose I have to. Oban is a good base and can easily jump on the ferry to mull and see some of the island. Dunadd is a day with all the associated bits around it but also some nice walks around there. If you need any help with places or th...

Fellow sufferer here and can highly recommend pogies. I have tried so many different gloves and even heated glove but all were rubbish on longer rides but pogies have been incredible. I bought the cheapest pair of pogies I could find just to try and see no need to spend more just yet. Was out today ...

Re: Anyone have a 'micro camper?'
Have had a few all built by myself probably helped by the fact that was once my full time job building campervans. SWB connect,LWB caddy,Dispatch and an old combo all at different points. Sure I have pics of my builds somewhere I can dig out. I lived in my connect for 2 months during the winter clim...

Re: Where would you live in the UK...
It’s something that we have just went through and moved in just before lockdown started last year. Moved from being on the outskirts of a city where everything was a train or bus away to a small village on the west coast of Scotland. And loved every second since we moved. Can walk out the front door...

Finally the postman has made it to my house and with him came a rather nice packraft from the classifieds here.
Now to get the paddle delivered and away I go. Another expensive hobby about to begin.

Re: Living a meagre existence so you dont have to work ?
Some really interesting views on this. I’m in my mid 30’s and spent from 16-30 working every hour I could and now fell like I have nothing to show for it and missed out on so many things. Now we both work part time earning just enough to pay the bills while doing odd jobs to pay for adventures and g...

Re: That's a lot of bike for the money
Looks like a great spec bike for the price.
Might need to try get a seat on one and see frame size and geometry as was looking for a new bike.
If only they did a full frame bag for it but fingers crossed it’s coming soon.

Most of that is on my doorstep luckily. Dalavich up loch avich and across was busy recently with forestry trucks but I’m probably going to head across there the coming weekend so can update if needed. It’s just trying to stay off the main road that would be my only small changes. From dunadd I would...

Sorry to hear of your loss Dave.
And sorry I missed the first post on this thread from a few years back. Sadly don’t frequent this forum much but it’s still heartwarming to be part of something like this.

Re: What do you think about when you are riding?
Depends on my usual pedal it’s mostly putting life in order. Think through what has happened and where my life is going. Often think about my old man who got me into bikes and who I have to thank for everywhere I have cycled through. On a longer unusual route then it’s more looking round and thinkin...

Re: What Suspension Bikes Are You Bikepacking On
Got a cotic rocket which I sometimes use depending on where I’m going and the distance involved.
Steel frame so not the lightest and 160mm travel doesn’t have the greatest pedalling efficiency but it’s brilliant when the trail points down hill.
