Re: The post man's been ...
I envisage some minor probs with this, as I did with a similar mod on my road bike , I changed that from an 11-25 to an 11-36 , I had to swap the ultegra deraileur for a 105 , a wolfs tooth gizmo and a new longer chain , but I got it sussed In the end, a real boon for my uphill efforts ! , that is a...

Thanks for replies, it’s a HT Lapierre Edge , I got it at a great price so I’m upping all the components bit by bit , already put XT hydraulic brakes on and Exotic forks , it’s a lot lighter now , also got an FSA sealed bearing headset, so the next in line is the drivetrain ,

Re: What's the best rear red light please
I bought a ‘Burner Brake’ light from Evans , it’s got several really effective impulse settings , also a big one for me is that when I slow or stop it has a sensor that picks up the change in speed and interrupts the selected impulse function and a very solid and bright steady appears , like a car b...

Re: Any off road routes around Afonwen?
Hiya. Stu has posted a GPX route for me that will take me from Machynlleth Station to Shell Island ( Llanbedr ) Afonwen is more NW than my route but I’d say it will be a good ride, about 55 miles from Machy to Afonwen but a fair bit of climbing maybe ,

Re: Route from Shrewsbury to Shell Island. (Llanbedr)

Re: Route from Shrewsbury to Shell Island. (Llanbedr)
I was going to head to Welshpool then along the A458 and enter the park around the Cwm Cewedd area then find the trails, but I don’t fancy riding the roads, from Shrewsbury , though I’m sure they are very picturesque,

Re: Route from Shrewsbury to Shell Island. (Llanbedr)
Thanks for reply , Probably as much gravel off road as possible , Shrewsbury was my starting point as I can get to there by overnight train and then peddle the rest , on closer inspection of the rail network I can get a lot closer to Snowdonia and cut the road work out , so by going farther west to ...
