Re: Bamboo Ts are back.

I'm the only one who noticed the colour change..... I think that's a good thing
I also noticed, but agree.

If there are any spare XLs anywhere, I'd like another. Feels so nice against my nipples/chest hair

Re: Winter bivi ‘22 Now with added update.

No no, I refer to Mr John Climber, an esteemed personage of this parish, well known for his weather checking in advance of events  . I think one time he was analysing the weather a couple of days after a Winter Event. Yes, I've briefly met 'the' JC. Did he stay home to do the dishes? https:/...

Re: Scottish Winter Bivvy 10/12/22

I'm heading that way for some hill walking later that week and noticed that Forestry Scotland are reporting Jock's Road as Closed. I'm guessing that's just officially to cover themselves for somebody being squashed by falling timber though??? "Mountain access routes update: Kilbo path is open, ...

Try this first, though if it worked initially, it's probably time for the surgical option.

Re: Shimano Mech Clutch Issues

I had exactly the same Richard. You need to clean the mechanism and especially the axle/Bush it rotates on. Remove mech. Remove the stopper that stops it rotating too far. Spin the cage around to release spring tension. Remove the cover over the clutch housing. Dismantle, clean and grease. I found t...

Also interestingly, Nov is now officially busier rider wise than Oct.
With the other thread in mind, about carbon footprint of travelling to events, I'm driving down in Nov from Keswick.
Is there anyone en route fancy a lift - M6, M56, A roads Chester, Corwen, Bala?

So, what you did there Shaf, was turn too early and climb up to Watendlath - the setting of Hugh Walpole's 'Rogue Herries' (Herries Chronicles): Herries was "A violent and impetuous man, a faithless husband and a capricious father. The Borrowdale valley (his home for 40 years) and his unrequite...

Same manu' (and therefore anticipated sizing) as previous lot
So, if one is usually betwixt a L and an XL, what would the anticipated sizing suggest?

Not sure I'll be riding, but certainly won't be paying any attention to what's going on in Westminster. I fully respect the years/decades of service she gave to a destiny she felt was hers. It's of no interest to me personally though, and it would be nice if the family paid some inheritance tax. I t...

I'm pretty sure I've got the right spot, as remember almost immediately crossing a burn and into the rocky valley section with the lovely river views (to take your mind off the stumbling unrideableness). I remember the gate in your map I think Bob - isn't it one of those ladder stiles where the ladd...
