Re: Bike Advice (Switch from CX to MTB?)
I'd echo Ben a little here. Although my opinion of the Canyon ^ still holds true, if I were in your position right at this moment, I'd buy a Longitude frame set and use the remaining £1100 to build it into a great bike. Granted, it probably wouldn't be as light as the Canyon but it'd be tough and v...

Not much help to you but if it was a size smaller I would have snapped your hands off! I'm only 5'10 so no way it would got.
Good luck with the sale!

Re: Bargain Alert Thread
I dont have a 29er frame at the moment, but am giving it serious considerations! Are these wheels any good? http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/WPOOTW29/o ... et-29-inch £80 seems a bit of a bargain, thought it appears to be for the 9mm front & rear option.

My trusty on one 456! I was hoping to have a stooge or longitude for it, but I won't be able to raise the funds in time!

X-Kings - Pay the extra for the protection tyres?
Looking to pick up a set of x-kings for my on one, I can get the standard ones for £18.99 each from Chain Reaction (also have a 5% off code) or the protection version for £39 each.
Is it worth the extra £20?
Sorry for yet more daft questions!

Re: PSA: 2 for 1 on fibreflare lights.
Just wondered how people had gone on with these over the winter? As I am just about to start commuting on my bike again I need to try and make myself a little more visible which is tough with limited space to place lights.

Having fitted my pre bled brakes this morning I'm a bit frustrated that I will have to bleed them as there is too much travel on the lever. Guess my expectations for the brakes was too high. Have you tried adjusting the screw on the lever? Nope  didnt realise there was one! I will certainly b...

New Deore brakes from CRC. Ordered yesterday lunch, arrived today! Cracking service.
Just waiting on the rotors from Ribble Cycles as it was the only place I could find the 180mm RT66 rotors.

So its the forks i need to check! Thanks. I believe they are RockShox Revelations, they were the standard which came with the 456 i bought back in 2011.

For me, its to actually get out and ride. I found myself making excuses for not going out, which meant the only riding i did was pretty much my commute to work. I dont need any knew gear, I just need to make use of what i have got. I am also taking the Garmin off my bike. Im fed up at looking at tim...
