Plenty scope for more mountain bikery stuff (not that I know the area too well). Start Marsden and good riding to Wessenden Head (Kirklees Way) Then short stretch of road, then BW to Digley Res. Winscar Res... take TPT east then head south to join your route at Mickleden Edge. Further south I’d be t...

Left home last night (Tuesday) about 8:20pm, just two and a half miles to a local reservoir... A very comfortable spot just like a lawn with the grass having been cut... Canada geese were having a family row this morning. Water Board ! Glad they were't cutting the grass this morning... I only 'emerg...

Hey John What about Tony ? Bought one (29er) about a year ago. Used it on two separate occasions to get me home. It did the trick... First occasion led me to buy the little Swiss tool which had plyers in it cos I couldn’t unscrew the ... screw ! which keeps the valve on (fortunately another mtb’er helped me out) So far I have...

Bloody ell Reg, you’ve got me going now  What strikes me (a lot) is how society functions, is driven by whatever forces, the politics of it all, and a million other things I could (but won’t :-bd ) rant on about. Now: We (society, not me) don’t like these dirty unkempt rough sleepers, but we (...

Re: SPOT Tracker Renewal Fees - Being Gouged?
Why do you all have to bother with this crap ? I bet the RSF didn’t use spots (mind you they probably were always in groups)... Along with spirit of adventure you need ‘wherewithal’ and ‘mountaincraft’, and knowing your limits and knowing that accidents can and do happen, and if you’re always tuned ...

Friday night got January's bivvy in, urged on by the threat of colder next week.. I always find it a bit grim setting off in the dark, in this case 9:25pm, most sane folks would be in the pub... On the fat bike, still winter innit ? I go 0.4 miles then a big slog uphill on a neat tarmac covered trac...

Re: Stans in very wet conditions.
Looks like a case of simply not enough sealant in there.
I’ve had this problem, tyre needing pumping up after a day.
Put more sealant in. Bingo !
Problem solved.
Have you tried this yet ?
