Karoo 2

This is now available for pre-order.

I was thinking about ordering one, but with a battery life of only 12 hours, I don't think I'll bother!

Thanks all, some excellent ideas. I have asked for Full tilt. No doubt I will refer to this list again for future xmas & birthday presents

Book suggestions?

I'm after suggestions for a book for my birthday.

Probably cycling related, but open to suggestions. I have the RSF archive book, Fat tyre Flyer and I have Richpips one on order.

TIA

Re: who rides Ti ?

Sonder Broken Road here. My first ti bike. Apart from my Brompton, all my other bikes have been ali or carbon.

Initially I was looking for steel, but ti gives the benefits without the rust issues and it's great to have a bike and not worry about the paint. Weight was also slightly less than steel.

I really dislike the heat, although I did go out and do 50 miles in it yesterday.

I won't be doing it again.

Work well on and off road thinking I might switch to G-One Bite for winter.
I'm running G-One allround atm in 27.5 X 2.8 and I'm shocked at how good they are.

Wanted - Bikepacking journal nr 1

I know this is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have one that they want to sell?

At the time this launched, I was unemployed and couldn't justify the expense (aka risk the wife finding out). I just love publications like this and keep wondering what I've missed in the first one.

This must be the new ISO. It looks quite different from the original, it appears to have a much more horizontal top tube.

I think Alpkit will do you a roll top if you ask.

Maybe worth checking this company out too. https://www.bike-bag.co.uk/index.html

And brought an all-weather Cambium C13 carved via ebay.

I've been wanting one for a while, but didn't want to fork out £140+ for a saddle that I might not like.

It will be an interesting comparison.

Hendon. Where are you? You're close, I'm round the corner in Whetstone. We probably ride the same off road paths :-bd Unfortunately not much off road around here. It's frustrating because there are lots of footpaths around Totteridge, but very few bridle paths. I usually do a little bit locally or ...
