Double glazed window - recessed, but not sure if I can get bars across it - backing onto garden with awkward access - already looking at alarming it. Area is quite good at least. Plan to frost it certainly!

Re: Tour Divide 2016

Anyone riding this year got plans for Easter BH weekend?

I find myself with a wife in Colombia and no commitments for the Fri-Sat-Sun.

Re: Ideal Workshop

Central wall is structural. Two little rooms - are little rooms, wall structural too. They are quite a good size. Problem with using RHS as workshop would be having shadow-board and tools on show through window. But, it would mean real light. Plan is to go straight to base concrete -sealed - then wo...

Ideal Workshop

Let's say you've theoretically just had an offer accepted on a house which has a large basement area. See theoretical diagram below. photo.JPG If you were going to take the room on the LHS - which has bare, dry, stone walls - is plumbed and done for electrics - and has two nice storage spaces - and ...

Re: gRVOL 2016

Just to clarify for a few people:

[*]This is not the ITT I've been working on - that'll be later in the year.
[*]A MTB will be overkill - a road bike will be a silly idea.
[*]It'll be about 100km, with close as I can to 3,000m of climbing.

I think that's it for now.

gRVOL 2016

http://i1.wp.com/www.gregorymay.ie/wp-content/uploads/P5160002.jpg?resize=750%2C563 First there was the RVOL - Ronde van Oost Lancashire. An event my good friend Alan put together to ride on the day of The Ronde van Vlaanderen taking in the best of the cobbles he knew about as well as some brutal c...

Re: Thinking out loud - bear with me.

My experience is more from the working with kids from disadvantaged areas - to the extent that some of them had never left their housing estates in inner city Dublin taking them into the mountains, getting them climbing, paddling, walking and bivying. It's rewarding. It's tough. It doesn't get easie...

Interesting concept.

A chunk of the route may be possible from the EWE route too - down south it may be worth having a chat with Aidan.

I'm back! A weekend of lifting, shifting, and generally sneezing is done. For those of you who gather clutter - deal with it before you die - otherwise your children will hate you for it. I didn't manage to get the bikes back - we had to take other important bits back first - important according to ...

Interested...may need to take a marker pen to part of it though.... You can't do that Greg. It's only through the generous sponsorship of the companies we are advertising that the cost can be kept so low..... Indeed, one would think three separate bike brands is almost odd... Either way, it's the a...

Free Stuff! Appart from your petrol, and maybea beer or two.

Ok, I'm going back to clear out my old house in Ireland as I sold it - hurrah for me. In the attic space there are random amounts of bike things, including, and not limited to: [*]A Giant Anthem with Masetro 2 in size L with Fox RL, XT rear-der, old LX cranks, Hope Mono Mini Ti brakes, random stem a...
