Re: Aggregate 100k 6th/7th August

They have a limit of 300 but only 28 have signed up with a week to go.
My CX bike won't be here in time and yes the £50 is a major obstacle as well

Re: Bargain Alert Thread

Lauf forks 35% off. Has someone let Greg know? Where's the "Like" button :-bd And the way the £ is against the $ and everyone putting their prices up, right now that offer is a bit of a bargain that may not come back for a while. And yes I am biased https://c5.staticflickr.com/9/8653/2846...

Re: Sleeping when bivyin

I'm with Greg here, I really don't think taking this sort of stuff out in the "wild" is a smart idea. Try it at home and have someone try and wake you after a couple of hours, see how rested you feel... I fully agree with both Greg and yourself, meds need to be tested at home rather than ...

Re: Sleeping when bivyin

Little or no booze, a changing out of your cycling clothes and a Nytol tablet got me 6.5 hours on Friday nights bivi.

Re: Gravel specific shorts - really?

"You can use it with ......... a bib short layered underneath for additional comfort. Its slim fit ensures the rider the perfect match between aerodynamic needs and comfort during long rides"

So is it saying bib shorts are or are not comfortable?

Re: Bikepacking for more than a few days

I have nowhere near the experience of those above me but my one big tip is.....

Pack some space......
What fits nicely in your packs when loaded up at home definitely won't fit in the same packs on a wet and windy hillside as your rushing to load up after a wet night out.

Re: Aggregate 100k 6th/7th August

Only 18 of the expected 300 riders have signed up with 2 1/2 weeks before enteries close.
I've not signed up as I'm not 100% sure that my CX bike will be here in time.

Could it be the £50 that's putting people off?

Picked up these http://www.tweekscycles.com/cycling-clo ... oof-shorts
in a large (I take a medium and they fit perfectly) for BearStock but never wore them, they packed down small and didn't take up too much room.
