Any of the 76 Projects stuff any good?

https://www.76projects.com/

They do a really good ASS system, stick on mount for top tube, so top-tube bag can slide on and off easily without any straps?

I've been using Laka Insurance, community funded so premiums can be fairly cheap too.

Personally best thing i have used to remove sealant was a rough dishcloth my wife's nan used to knit us! And personally i have found Stans Race best sealant in tyres running up to 50 psi, for road tyres and tyres that need over 50psi, i have found Orange Seal best, Stans doesn't seem to like the hig...

Re: Wahoo element roam. please explain....

To add my thoughts, i had 6 Garmins before my Wahoo Element, and now my Roam. Every one of the Garmin developed a glitch of some sort, whether it failed to upload routes, would just start turning itself off randomly, or the last one the battery just died. I think the Garmin have good hardwear which ...

Re: Taking a knife to a gunfight.

i think for me, all my bikes on all types, have been bought or built with a bikepacking slant, including the gravel bike. So i have a fat bike as i live near miles of beaches that has mount for bags and jones-style bars, i have a "monster-cross" style Singular Gryphon with low gearing and ...

I am looking for the same myself, my daughter at 10 years old has just hit 5ft and her bike i bought her last year, is now dwarfed.. There is a few on ebay if you type in "xs mountain bike" Spec. Hardrock, Cailbre Bossnut. But why do people insist on "Collection Only" in the midd...

Remember that 10 speed Shimano road shifters have the same pull ratio as 9 speed MTB stuff. So a very reliable wide-range system can be had potentially with some of the 9 speed stuff you have and some older 10 speed road shifters, ran it on my old Fargo and worked well. Or if you can get a whole che...

Re: bespectacled night time off road runners

I was thinking that you could use existing strap with the Joystick holding part over the top, then stitch to a blank thick band of elastic around the head, so torch sits at top?

Re: bespectacled night time off road runners

Would it be worth just buying some thick elastic and making a different headband for the Joystick? Can't be too difficult to make one that had the band still round head, but then strip over the top to hold the light on top of your barnet? Seems a much cheaper way, as the Joystick is a great light.

Totally agree with you Matt, whilst i don't live in a mountainous area, we have an island called Scolt Head, one of those you can wade across to on the lowest point of the tide, then have to wait the 12 hours to get back, being rescued from the island for people who don't realise tides comes in and ...

Re: Hate to bring it up again but ...

I suspect Matt that people who rarely hike up a hill, or get out into the countryside often feel safety in numbers, if they can see a stream of people going up and down a hill, then they don't need to attempt to navigate anywhere or feel they might get lost, plus they know there will be an ice-cream...

I live in a rural area, and consider myself lucky to do so, my wife works as a consultant in our local hospital, but what bugs me is that every time there is a lockdown, we clearly see a stream of Range Rovers, Audi and Jaguar SUV's, with those driving it adorned in tweed and Hunter wellies all head...

I think for touring a Dinglespeed would be great, i run a Bombtrack Needle road bike with 46/16 and Singular Peregrine on 45c with 40/16 which works for me, but then i live in Norfolk and only do 1000m of climbing in a ride at most locally. The new Peregrine frame would make a lovely tourer? Love th...

Always really liked these, found it good for bikepacking as it has a lock blade on it, plus all the allen keys come off making it a lot easier to reach awkward places and good chain tool that works and metal hook for holding the two ends of the chain, coupled with a chinese copy of the Wolftooth cha...

For a weekend i tend to use on the smaller 5200mAH one, that allows me to charge phone and Wahoo computer overnight and top up light if needed, i'd say it was equivalent of 2 full charges of my iphone 11. For an extended trip like Torino-Nice i had a big 20,000mAH one, this topped up phone, Wahoo an...

Re: Trek 1120

They are around £2400 for complete bike or you can get frameset for £700, so leaves a lot to spec your own build?

If you have a fat bike already, why not have a 29+ set of wheels for that, and spend some nice money on custom racks for that? i have full fat and 29+ for Beargrase and works well..
