Re: Anyone have a 'micro camper?'

Is there still the van place in Llangurig?

Stopped at the cafe next door and enjoyed trying to see which vans were big enough to sleep in.

Maybe worth a look?

Re: Future plans.....??

Hopefully once we’re all allowed out to play I’m looking forward to a CTC route, not far for some but a good enough distance with my lack of fitness https://www.cyclinguk.org/route/devon-delight-challenge-ride Beyond that, there’s always a Coast 2 Coast here in Devon, Ilfracombe to Plymouth with the...

For the price it's a bargain and will match a BB Jersey.

It's got to be better than a 6 Yr old Specialised lid which let's the sweat into my eyes... At least I'll be able to see what I'm crashing into!

Re: Anyone paddled the Wye?

https://www.canoewales.com/touring-rivers-1 Hi Stu, It all depends on the water levels. There’s a recent book by Pesda Press and before that a waterproof ring bound guide. The main features are Monington falls (just a rapid) and Symonds Yat rapid. From a paddling point of view, watch out for the flo...

Looks like a good little read too.

Agreed that the takeaways and bivvy idea is great. There’s a good chippy in Ashburton... maybe next year?

Looking forward to her post ride video...

She’s a south Devon rider now and her videos are fun to watch. I’m sure she will finish but I’d imagine she’d be better asking advice here than on YouTube.

Good luck everyone taking on the challenge this year.

Always nice to come home to a surprise, two parcels one from that man in the middle Wales shed & a replacement camera after the old one was dying at the end of warranty.

Thanks Stuart for the stove and for the route down to Llani. Brilliant.

Re: One for Reg perhaps.

Not too much to do with cycling although there is cycling & the odd bivvy but Jasper Winn's book Water ways is quite a nice read.

Ties in nicely with the Canal boating on this thread.
