Re: Today's Run
Couch to 5k completed. My efforts to get back into running without my calf muscles locking up are going ok...
Any suggestions for something like the Cto5k app to get me up to 10k? I'm more interested in endurance than speed if that makes any odds.

We don't have much in the way of claggy mud in the Peak, but when it has got a bit sloppy, I've found Magic Marys a bit grippier than Minions.

Rituals, eh? Good thing you asked, we need to make sure we do my father in law (RIP)* proud by having pork pie and ketchup for breakfast on Christmas Day.

Re: Layering for cold weather riding
re gillet will give iit a try but it's rarely my torso that is cold. There's a school of thought that says if you keep your core warm, you'll keep warm blood flowing to your extremities. Conversely, if your core temperature drops, your body will respond by trying to keep warmth in your core at the ...

They shared a pic on their newsletter email: https://files.constantcontact.com/9311f426001/184ccef9-8be3-47ef-a4b5-8acba0403b02.jpg It's a prototype by Fiveland Bikes who do their UK-based construction, so I guess the Taiwan-built frames will be a little different. Seatstays look noticeably skinnier...

Updates to the Cotic Solaris just announced - they're going a bit more XC with it, less fork travel, less overlap with the BFeMAX I guess.

Ridgeback MX20 kids bike (brand new)
Anyone after a 20" wheel bike? Apparently, I've just won one of these via Singletrack: https://www.ridgeback.co.uk/ridgeback-mx20-varrb2178 Too small for my bairns, so up for sale. RRP is £350, yours for £200? I can probably get it sent direct to the buyer if a deal is made before Singletrack ...

Re: Suggest a jacket with good discount?
If the main thing is heavy discount, I'd suggest applying Martin Lewis' rule first.
Martin's Black Friday shopping memo
If you were going to buy it anyway and it is half price, you've saved 50%.
If you weren't going to buy it, but do cos it's half price, you've wasted 100%.
