Re: Video Editing Software

Would love to find an open-source equivalent similar to Audacity but for video. I used openshot to make my "vlog" and I hadn't touched video editing since 2005 and adobe premier elements when I was in secondary school then. Very simple and easy to use, took me very little time to work out...

Crums, there's people everywhere, supermarkets busier than normal. I tend to try to avoid people/crowds in my normal life.... well what would be normally really quiet roads or a quiet time at a supermarket is all busy

Yep, down here in Essex the other week, my dad had to remove a few from the house (on his clothes, not attached)... They're definitely more prevalent than they used to be - I've lived in Essex most of my life, as had my dad, and it's only the past few things we've even seen the things. I've got seve...

At least I'm here and able to see my mum whilst I can, it would be even worse being stuck at home and not able to see my mum before she did pop her clogs....(although I could probably swing it if I did get stopped for whatever reason under the care reason...) Other than that, only real problem (not ...

Or, one hour late at night and then another early in the morning (but forgetting to return home between times  ) That immediately crossed my mind however you'd be at the mercy of nosy neighbours, my guilty conscience and the thought police. I'd probably not sleep a wink with worry in any case...

Thing is the air pressure can make the pipe quite quite tight on the core in some circumstances, so that helps with the unscrewing affect.

Re: SS chains

It's been a good few years since I ran singlespeed, but I found using 1/8" track chain worked best (with matching 1/8" front ring and sprocket...which I could make wolftooth fit a shimano freehub with a bit of light fettling...then the shimano freehubs were the weakpoint...) Anyway, longev...

I think they're good, only downside though is that they wear really quickly - too quickly for me to justify using on my commuter bike. And once they're worn, they pick up punctures easily.

Re: Anyone tried putoline chain wax ?

I've been doing a bit more reading on the subject, trying to find out what I can. The MSDS for putoline wax is distinctly unavailable, but from what I understand through internet hearsay is that it contains graphite, and possibly some PTFE or maybe moly sulphide. I think I may buy some powdered grap...

Re: Anyone tried putoline chain wax ?

I’ve got an ultrasonic cleaner which makes chain and component cleaning a breeze. My commuter bike is a good test subject for trying stuff out, enough to give it a work out, but I’m not too previous about it, and longevity is the name of the game. I’ve been trying paraffin wax (kerrawax iirc) and it...

If you want to save a fair bit of dosh and not bother with all the fancy plastic mouldings, you can get something like this for £20. Just add a bucket.

So I now have this in my possession (and swapped all the bits over from my kinesis onto it!). I cannot rate this bike highly enough. it is heavy, yes but beautiful. Crums, yes it is heavy! I've gone from a 1.5kg frame and a 500ish grams fork, to a 2.5kg frame and 830gram fork! It's noticeable! oooh....
