Re: Dropper posts

if you get a dropper - then fit something like a rear mudhugger - otherwise you will be binning it in 6 months time

Re: Stans Hugo Wheel - Hope hub, vee trax fatty 29 x 3" tyre

I didn't think a 100 could be converted to 135.

I actually need 135/15 for a Travers prong

Scorpion vs spider, saying you don't feel bad! Does that mean the spider wins?

Re: 29er plus rims for bike packing

Cheers all.

I'd heard good things about the scrspers. Less so for the Stans.

Looks like scrspers are good for tubeless too.
As much as I like the idea of carbon I think it'll be them, eastons or Stans. Off to price some up.

29er plus rims for bike packing

So not wanting to disrupt the carbon specific thread.

What are the go to 29er plus rims people recommend (whatever material)?

This would most likely be to fit to a Ti fat bike.

keswick up to Skiddaw ?

When going up to Skiddaw House from keswick there are two bridleways, east & west of Glenderatera Beck. Is one better for up & one better for down ? I am planning going up at the weekend to Skiddaw House & the up the the summit & may be some other meanderings (hopefully), wither Ullo...

Re: Extrex 30 uploading routes

This might help.

I definitely prefer routes with limited way points, but I'm in the minority.

Most people appear to prefer the breadcrumb track approach.

dynamo hub for 135mmx15mm

any one know if there is a thing ?

I've asked SON & they do not do such a thing,
Exposure & SP also appear not to.

Looks like I would need a new fork as well as a new hub/wheel, or shall I just get a new bike (that's a non starter)

Can some one cheer me up.

Re: Multifuel stoves, tell me about them

Why do you want one? They're overkill for bikepacking use unless you're doing some proper cooking as has been suggested I have ambitions beyond 2-3 day rides in the UKs sunny climbs. currently have a kraku - which is perfect for everything I have done so far. One thing I had heard in favour of the ...

That is 'very just' indeed!

I wonder if there are support things like you can get for gas hobs and small pots.
