Re: The post man's been ...
An 11 speed cassette, not in itself of much interest but, this will be my last ever parcel from Wiggle/CRC  Since I got back into cycling in 2007 they've always been there when I needed them. There wasn't even a last packet of Haribo, end of an erea. Just realised and went to read the reports....

What diameter and drop is it please Shaf? For a moment I thought I was dreaming you'd asked me this. I messaged you the thread with it on but then couldn't find your Q in the Bargain Alert thread. Let me know and I can resend if you never got the details yet Mr Bear. Pff the top of my head I believ...

Re: WTD: 27.5 boost rear wheel
Hi Faustus... You sorted for a wheel yet. I just opened another cupboard and out popped a DT Swiss M1700 wheelset. Front has been dismantled so rim only but rear is alive and kicking. It's an XD freehub and if you google it full specs can be found. Smooth bearings. About 35mm internal width without ...

Put myself down for a trail marathon in Sept. The hope is that in training (very steady progressiveness but also focusin on injury prevention) the weight might well fall off

Nice1 Phil. Reminds me that I need to think about something other than Shimano for the SC... Anyhow... After lots of faff over the week I was ready and freed up for a ride. No work so thankfully no excuses to not get out. Just needed some fettling on the steel bike as I couldn't be bothered to fetch...

Definitely a new skill that I don't ever wish to use again. Already been wondering about how to get my moneys worth from the tap, but I suppose it'll just have to sit derelict!Cyclepeasant wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:00 pm Excellent result Shaf!

80nm? Is that Nnnnnnnneugh! or maybe up to getthatoffyoubuggers in British Standard engineering terms? Yes... it's basically effing tight but the torque I just checked with mu dads old torque wrench. I'll check the specs and maybe get my new tprque wrench out for em. Never had a problem before with...

Well done for sticking with it Shaf :-bd Although i have a strange mixed feeling of being both relieved & concerned :???: P.S. the ‘10’ on the head of the bolt is it’s tensile rating.. I get your concern. No, they've both gone in nicely without any sideqys stress torqued em to 80nm so hopefully...

My proper garage (now) is Lex Tec in Sheffield. Including parts and labour with 20% VAT... The last bill came to £1300 (or £1150) - 1x front bearing; water pump + coolant; rebuilding radiator [it's a thing]; 2 x front discs cos he walloped and broke it when removing disc for hub; sundries [£5 but I ...

We're allowed to laugh on this thread  Reminds me of every time I trolley jack (the big 2 or 3 tonner from Halfords Advanced) the car up. Always have to double and triple check I'm on the right part under the car. Last time I cross referenced Eric the Car Guy and he explains how you just find t...

Axle spacing? It's a Pro2 EVO. So worlds your oyster. Setup standard at the moment with quick release end caps. But there's boost available as well as standard thru axle end caps. I have a few different ends caps for an extra fiver if buyer wanted. But they'd have to check the documents on Hope web...

NB bearings are good all round. Sold as seen but happy to acccept returns if you don't like what you recieved. Pics of the front wheel incoming (after someone asks and once I've cleaned it).

27.5 plus wheelset on Hope Pro2 EVOs (Blue)
Hi. Seeling this wheelset as I'm having difficulty parting with it and need the cash for some fundraising activities (like you do... no bragging intended). All proceeds will be split (maybe not exactly and maybe not entirely) between CAGE (ask Gove) and for one of the Palestine project charities. Ho...

Keep it engineering related (buildings, bikes, motors, walls, roads... You get the gist). Behind every stressful point there's always a story and a lesson as well as coping mechanism. My one is this... https://i.imgur.com/EkjokIG.jpg Broke a bolt on a car that they no longer produce parts for. My ow...
