Just noticed a review from 3 weeks ago by bearbonesnorm. Has anyone here got any long term experience of this stuff as I am contemplating getting a bottle!
Thanks in advance

Seatpost bag on Carbon seatpost!
Just a quick Q on seatpost bags. I'm encouraging a lad to get one for a trip to London in the coming months. He tells me that they all have a disclaimer on the info for many seatpacks that they're "not recommended for carbon seatposts"... Is that just the seatpost bag manufacturers coverin...

Re: Tyre / rim parting company - anyone?
What happens in the tubeless setups is the tyre stretches over time due to the air pressure over the entire tyre (as opposed to pressure in the inner tube pushing certain sections of the tyre). Haven't had it happen to me whilst riding but have experienced the tyre stretch after running tubeless for...

Re: GPS tracking or a spot!
That life360 seemed to give me good results. Managed to track my riding buddy and also had others able to find me on the map (got myself a nice hot cuppa at mile280 and some tuna sarnies to stuff myself with at mile370...

Re: Is anyone Festive 500-ing?
DONE :-bd Day 1 Saturday. Through Peak District entering via Langsett and then on past LadyBower res and Derwent Valley. Straight to Leicester. Wind was awful for first 30 miles (awful might be too strong a term) and almost gave up. 110 miles done and around 2 or 300 quid raised. Day 2. Relatively c...

Invaluable as always. Life360 it is then. Yep, noticed the 4 hour problem today and was gonna work around it but if life360 is better on the battery and just runs on background!. Amazing
Hope my 311 mile round trip wirks out. Been getting a little bit of nerves probs today

Re: GPS tracking or a spot!
Thanks guys and thanks for the link to renting the spot. I've read on another forum about an app called glympse. This would save me from having to reboot my livetrack function when losing data/signal (will be travelling via peak district both ways!). It also only draws battery power and activates th...

Re: GPS tracking or a spot!
The phone is Note4. The riding is 125, 61, 137 miles over the 3 days with 7k, 3k, 9k of feet climbed respectively. Having the bluetooth on both the phone and garmin active would mean lots of drainage on the batt which I would rather try and conserve as much as poss. Will have a 21000mah (16000 usabl...

GPS tracking or a spot!
I heard the word 'Spot' being mentioned on a few posts (Guy Martins challenge and Ian Barringtons). So wanted to enquire as to exactly what it is and whats the costs. If its a seperate gps tracker that I need to buy and register, it'd probably be a bit late for me now as my Rapha-500km ride starts o...

Oh yeah. I forgot to say, XMAS doesn't really happen in my house so riding on that day isnt really a prob... On eid though, now that is a hard day to get out on a ride. But I do try and go for a couple hours before everyone wakes up

This months MBR (didn't buy it!) had some Shimano MW5 Dryshield listed as 10/10 and their supercheap (91 quid if you're willing to wait on Athleteshop.com)..

Re: Is anyone Festive 500-ing?
I'm gona give it a go over 3 days. I'm severely impressed! I think I would be crucified by my other half, my family and her family if I tried to do that! trying to avoid a scenario where I'm just banging in miles for the sake of it Ditto, although a back up plan for this winter is to try an...

Re: Is anyone Festive 500-ing?
I'm gona give it a go over 3 days. Was meant to do it with Chew but unfortunately I'll be travelling down to the midlands to family. 24th: Yorkshire/Dewsbury to Leicester 120 miles or so. 25th leicester to Birmigham (70 miles but only cos I incrwqaed the route a little) 26th Birmingham to Bradford a...

Shoes arrived. Look brandnew. A bit square but my square feet love em... time to chuck out the Northface ones that I've had for past 5 years (bought em off the grumpy man at a bike shop)... Can't wait to chuck em out (maybe another few hudred miles of summer cycling left in em though  ) Thanks ...

Re: Long term lights: real world reviews
Thats some serious real world reviews there. None of that crap that MBR throw at us with all their advertisers (Specialized Stumpjumper in the top 10 bikes of the decade for 10 years and Trek always getting a 3/10 rating!) getting the "bees knees" ratings (sorry Paul Burwell if you're list...

Long term lights: real world reviews
Just thught I'd start this topic off as its an interesting and hopefully useful one for many. Try and review your lights that you've had and used/not used (then why) for while. The - what (what you got); where (you use them or don't cos their crap); how (much you like em and versatile/useful they ar...

Re: Audaxing bar tape & "to see" compact lights
Thanks again. Will order the bartape shortly as theres certainly no shortage of options now. The glowworm... yep, it could double up as an mtb light (or double up for the dark unlit roads) so was thinking more of a one light to do it all. At the mo I have my notecore attached the the bars and use it...
