Re: Tinnitus anyone ?
Yep , mainly at sleepy time got mine from years of air tools before ear defenders were a thing to wear, tv on low or radio on when I’m going to sleep seems to block it out , day time isn’t bad as there’s always background noise, but your right it’s annoying even more than the wife’s snoring ( obviou...

Re: OT question for the over 50's.
I look back on a lot with fondness, but also look forward to what I can do in the future what I couldn’t have done in the past due to having to provide for the family, the times I look back on the most were living and working in Spain for 10 years , the other thing to look at Stu is all that stupidi...

Re: Have a Heart...
Had the monitor strapped to me when I first got diagnosed, can’t remember what the readings were but it was sufficient to double my meds , the other is just from personal experience if I’ve skipped breaky, no coffe or a smoke then my readings are down , but strangely also at bedtime the readings are...

Re: Have a Heart...
Certainly doesn't sound like you're over-doing the caffeine fella but worth considering when you have a BP reading taken, as caffeine before could spike it. Also mate when your going for your check try and get the first appointment, and go fasted , as your pressure rises and falls throughout the da...

Have a look at berghaus Paul , I’ve had a wind proof jacket off them for years , colour totally faded but still my favourite bit of kit , scrunches up into a little bag the size of a apple , some kind of cotton material

Re: Something Welsh for summer - Big Bear.
I can vouch wait for a good weather window , I went end of April , brilliant first day got in the mileage I wanted , woke up the 2nd morning tarp covered in snow and it just went downhill for the next couple of days before giving it neck , even the forest roads were 12” deep in water , and the plate...

Re: Can We Have A Nationwide Post Lockdown Group Bivi Ride?
Mike and myself had a discussion about a RTTS last year and we both (independently) thought the Gower would provide a superb venue in terms of riding, splashing about in the sea and eating chips. However, I do appreciate that it's not exactly handy for most people. Sounds grand let me know the date...

Re: The return of a classic - pop up T shirt shop.
Fantastic. But...Arg. In order to qualify I need to go and drink a puddle! I've managed rivers, streams, strange taps, ponds, 'small ponds', but not an official 'puddle' yet. At least I don't think so. Maybe I have without realising it. I'd better check and spare myself a special outing. Stu, what ...

Strictly from a personal point of view it’s quite a nasty virus , all I had when I actually had it was a bit of a flu , but now 8 weeks later I still can’t cycle for more than 10 min without wheezing like I’m in my 80’s and the same with walking the dog 20 mins and I have to have a rest , I’ve also ...

Re: New member saying hello, and a question about camping
Hi ya and welcome to a downward spiral of lunacy and trying to find out what works for you , I wouldn’t say there’s a fear of camping solo , maybe a little apprehension on the first one but as Stu always says we’re the only idiots lying in a ditch /hedge or toilet block at that time of night

and probably Spain between November and Feb. Nah  . Easily the best time of year to be in the UK. Preferably inside a remote Welsh boozer with a fire on and a longcase clock ticking in the corner, with your bike parked outside in the snow. After being in Spain for 10 years I really enjoyed be...

Re: Anyone have a 'micro camper?'
No idea mate as the work paid , you can normally pick a webasto or erbaspacher up for around £200- 300 used or £700-800 new , and then a couple of hours labour to fit it , mate of mine bought a independent diesel heater for his van I’ll get in touch with him today about make and cost , but there’s v...

Re: Anyone have a 'micro camper?'
Fit a Webasto night heater Stu , just had one fitted to works van , set your own time on it and it’s toasty warm before I go out of a morning, not to difficult to fit , just a feed for the glow plug and tap into the diesel tank
