Re: Capital Trail?
The start is in Portobello so you can drive there missing out Embra. We're heading the capital trail next week - what's Embra - and should I really avoid it? Plenty of parking near the start point. Would you just dump it somewhere around here? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48673607671_2307dcf...

Re: Size up, or down?
always use the size down as you can make a smaller bike bigger, but not a bigger bike smaller. May have worked in the past but less so now? I guess it depends how far you look into it, I still swear by the rule at 6ft 1. Larges in most brands will or can go to 6.1 and XL starts at 6.1. I'm 6ft one ...

Ive found this works well for me with mountain bikes. Im about to buy a gravel/granduro thing and planned ...

Re: Safe Route To The Lakes From Formby
It's all rideable. Gets a bit wiggly in the middle. Not the fastest A-B but is a lovely green corridor away from major roads. If you're on Komoot you should see it here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/84737971?ref=wtd. If not, let me know and I'll PM a GPX. I'm so sorry, I missed the reply as I didn't...
