Just the rear, as it was one of those, it's either too hard, or it's a pinch flat. Never had a problem with the front so didn't bother.

Re: Bivvy a month 2022
To strip the pedal you have to take the end cap off, this can be done using the points of needle-nose pliers but it's a fiddle, so I made a 3 prong tool for the job. Try as I might, I can't get the end cap off one of my pedals and I need to replace the bearings, as they're totally FUBAR. In all ser...

Re: Tyre inserts
I ran a Tannus Armour in my rear wheel for a while, as I got a couple of pinch flats with Conti Terra Trails. Totally killed the handling and feel, stopped using it when I switched to Panaracer GravelKings and haven't looked back. Got a colleague who swears by inserts, I think he runs CushCore thoug...

That means I will have a proper 29" front wheel to replace the fattie I'm running and mean I can finally fit that bouncy fork.
By the time they arrive, my back might have finally recovered, you never know.

Yesterday's actually, and the first ride since the big crash at the end of August. The legs felt good, the back less so; weak and uncomfortable on rough tarmac. Though I was going to feel worse today than I do, so that's cheery...

Re: New Cycling Uk route
Well, as has been posted else where, the route has now been published - https://www.cyclinguk.org/rebellion-way So the bit I was originally grousing about, not being a right of way at all, seems even worse than that initial GPX. So rather than going down the byway South Acre RB1 , it goes down Finch...

I used to run around with a single MTBBatteries Lumen 800 , but have upgraded to twin Exposure units. While the Lumen 800 served me well for pootling around on the local bridleways and byways, it doesn't come close to my current Strada / Diablo setup. I can't remember the MTBBatteries chap's name of...

Re: 29" BOOST Front Wheels
Do you really need a new wheel or can you use a boost adaptor kit? Spacer for the disc and 2 spacers for the axle. Xc racer sell them and loads on ebay for cheapness I don't have any 29" front wheels of any description. As the fork is BOOST, figured it would be easier and simpler to just buy a...

29" BOOST Front Wheels
Looking for a BOOST (15x110) front wheel to go in that snazzy fork I acquired, but have no idea. Was hoping that I could get a front wheel to match the Pro-Build Chosen/Alex Volar rear wheel I picked up from Merlin, but no dice. The cheapest I've managed to find is the Shimano MT600 , anyone got one...

For the majority of this week, I've had no significant pain from the injuries sustained in my crash last month. So while it still feels like I'm one jerky move away from pulling something, and I can manipulate myself into a painful position, I appear to be mostly mended. 👍 Might leave it another wee...
