Re: What not-gravel 650B tyres...?
I used Continental CrossKing 2.2" on Hunt 650B Adventure Carbon on my Kite for the Dartmoor 200 ITT at the weekend. Never gave any concerns on the rough and rolled well on the smooth :-bd https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51495667076_bcb91ed256_n.jpg Dartmoor 200 ITT by Andy Wright , on Flickr

After a highly entertaining journey, due to the A1 being shut, I'm currently sat in the hut drinking a beer. Unlike me, I hope you all remembered your Smidge... 30mph average up M1 but here in time for beers and sandwiches. After being nearly skinned live by midges last week in the peaks, have net ...

Scratching an Itch
I had a reminder today that it was three years since I rode the SDW and 2017 was probably the last year I could really get out and enjoy riding, with the the fitness required to do silly things like BB200 on a singlespeed fatbike  2018 and on has seen me away with work and hotel living and la...

Now that is very nice Andy, enjoy :-bd Wrote this earlier on fb https://www.facebook.com/1684442433/posts/10215919113645766/ Took the Topstone out for a proper test this morning and it didn’t disappoint. Stole the route from Strava and it turns out the ride was originally done by a local gravel leg...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Cheery day really started yesterday when I collected the Cannondale Topstone Carbon Lefty from a LBS between Toronto airport and Peterborough, ON. That in itself was an achievement as it took a few emails to convince Myles that a guy in Africa really did want to buy a new bike, with all the accompan...

Re: Todays ride
Today's ride was brought to you (me actually) by Strava suggested routes. I asked for a 120km ride, any elevation and on dirt. The first one up was 119.7km, 1,808m and 6h 6m. The actual ride turned out to be 123.2km, 1,707m and 6h 47m moving time. I've never yet been let down by this feature, even i...

Picked up some useful upgrade parts for the Bad Boy during our maintenance trip to Germany. Went from the original 3x8 2014 groupset to a 2x10 GRX set-up, with 46/30 front and 11/34 rear. Suits the bike perfectly and with the 35mm Conti CycloXkings makes a great dirt road bike. Woke at silly o'clock...

Re: Suggest a coffee grinding machine
I like it a lot. It's small, fits in a carry-on suitcase well and does a great job. Having a stainless steel body means its not the lightest but then is unlikely to get damaged. I've taken it on the bike a few times but find Taylors coffee bags much easier.how do you like it?

I have a Rhinowares hand grinder, purchased at the Adventure Show a few years ago. It travels with me around the world, along with a dripper. On a more Serious note a good skydiving friend was ex SAS, Nish did some serious sh!t in defence of our country. I’m quite sure he’d not been offended if he was still here, unfortunately he fell victim to the ‘regiment disease’ 500+ people attended his funeral, none of them would have been offended...

Re: Todays ride
Over Christmas 2018 I brought a 2nd hand Cannondale Bad Boy from FB whilst in Dallas. I used it to do a popular 500Km challenge in all weathers and then had it taken back to Ghana in Jan 2019. I've used it once last year for 35km ride but otherwise its sat in the spare crew apartment gathering dust....

Today saw a daring mission where I may have accidentally trespassed on some MOD land, Kineton base is the largest ammunition dump in Europe apparently so i was very careful not to upset anyone, I imagine they could get a little twitchy. Morning,
For those driving to Long Buckby, parking at the station is £9.60 for two days, or free outside the ruby club 200m up the hill into the village. Weather for now is cool but dry

HS2 route is about 2 miles from here. Pity we'll need to get to London or Birmingham to use it.
