Re: A new event - possibly.
I lost my love of racing (usually marathons) somewhere........it has not been handed in. Until now...... :)
I'd imagine with a dose of bearbones in the mix it'll be love again. I'm in boss.
So who wants my hardly used T130C RS ? It's a nice un :)

Thinking of bringing Dillon up for this.....will a crosser get us out into a hill or water area to bivi round these parts??? Or is it all 3" tyre terrain?
Saturday night has to be a bivi eh!?

Re: 2017 Winter Event - Entries Open.
On another note, are churches in Wales still left open like they used to be in down here in Devon? Or do they get locked up to stop undesirables nabbing the valuables? Bit of both Gabe, the more remote ones are usually open - not Chapel's though, they tend to be locked. Ok......... expands the opti...

Re: 2017 Winter Event - Entries Open.
I'm thinking about this and wonder what 'destination' means. Is it a place where everyone meets up at night or something else? Just a grid with a church or chapel. No real turning point destination if that makes sense? I do like a grave yard kip though. Peaceful usually. Stu best to answer though a...

Re: BB200 Route.
Problem is I like the bivying/camping as much as the riding I'm the same, but it's not really a problem. I bivied after the cafe at 140km - found a spot in the woods a km or so down the road, set the tarp up and had about 7 hours. That meant the cafe in Llanidloes was open for breakfast when I rode...

Blizzard bag and SOL bag are different things though I would like to see him pack an "opened" Blizzard bag into the dry bag he had. No handy portable vacuum cleaner then? I explained recently to a young fell runner what they were and that blizzard bags are the same size as a video c...

Re: BB200 Route.
Only joking I had a blizzard bag and rab vapour rise alpine jacket in the wildcat saddle bag, arm warmers, knee warmers, silk gloves, buff and Crikey, how much's insulated brevet gilet in the backpack and rear jersey pockets. Just enough to survive an overnighter outdoors if needed. I know this has...

Re: BB200 Route.
I forgot to say, because I was so close to the end, I thought "balls to it" and went through the river at Hafren rather than over the bridge. I went over the bridge not realising there was a river crossing. When I got round to the crossing about 40m later I thought "ah, looks nice, I...

Re: BB200 Route.
Legs are feeling it today; I suspect that is linked with dehydration more than raw exertion - 1500ml of water for the first 6 hours was definitely not wise. I made the same mistake. Went two hours with nothing and then loaded heavily at Knighton which meant I felt like I was sloshing around for the...
