Surprised & delighted at my cameo appearance, too. How did that happen...?

Warm body and legs prevent the capillaries in the feet contracting and allow warm blood to circulate to your toes. Excellent stuff Neil and Dave. Sounds like you were fully immersed in fun of the "Type 2" variety there .
Down socks: I completely agree
It was a pleasure to meet you both and (of course) thanks to Stu & Dee for all of their hard work .

Static in a field?
A full charge?
Or perhaps a low drift velocity due to unexpected resistance?
Did your weekend live up to it's potential?
Feel free to tell us about it here...

Halfords do neoprene Ridge overshoes for £13. Pretty good and very similar to the Planet X ones, which I've also used for years.

Hmmm...bit stumped really...yep, insulated luggage; or pogies; split it along one edge lengthways and turn into a tarp for the dog/kids/small person; bin bag; floor mat for car/bike DIY?
Or ask Alpkit if they can recycle it.

You just might need a trailer to carry it, though
I've also rediscovered the joy of wellies, for when it's really hammering it down.
