Same as Colin, no guilt here.
If you the files on your PC you can also copy them onto Garmins that don't have an SD slot (Edge Explorer), they work and route just fine.

Nice one Reg! For a trip out to an area neither of us knew at all (Reg had 1 of the maps we needed, I had the other 2..... still marked up from a night rally I did in 1984 and not even taken out of the box since..... still, not much will have changed in 40 years will it.....?) and only suggested on ...

The only other real one was sending the same volunteer into every pub in town to get a table. And we chose the chap wearing two pandas on his head.

Hopefully you’ll track down the right one, my only advice then would be to buy two hangers so you can carry a spare.

Fitted a J-Tek wotsit and a Wolftooth Roadlink to the rear of my Equilibrium. A quick test ride round the block shows them to be working properly so I now have an 11-34 cassette working with my 10sp Campag Record shifters and short cage Chorus rear mech. Happy days! https://live.staticflickr.com/655...

This spot at Traigh Allt Chailgeag was a couple of miles east of Durness, just up from the beach. Far enough from the road to be quiet. https://live.staticflickr.com/3909/14848120804_1d02700ab3.jpg P1030185 by Richard Picton , on Flickr The view out when the sun was out https://live.staticflickr.com...

I'd be interested to see who has a decent square built up around BB Towers. Doubt you'd get Stu playing this game to be fair. He does have a strava account but its dormant... would be an interesting sqaure to see where he's adventured throighout his (well) ventures... True..... but it's the one are...

I went through the "getting rid of" phase a while ago, boxes and boxes of old stuff. At the time the Bristol bike jumble was my friend, I doubt that's running now though.

Day rides never; if the bags are on the bike though it's every time here. Everything in a 650ml mug as I'm still a heathen gas stove user, but it's a big part of the morning getting going process.

There's practical issues with bike packing or touring.... Battery charging - the LHC B team seemed have reputation for pub visits - handy for this if your battery is removable (the Levo was, the Orbea Gain - same kit as the Ribble above - is not) Weight - they're bastard heavy! No getting around th...

To say they shouldn't be allowed off road at all is quite a blinkered view I think. Having said that, I was certainly of that opinion right up to the point I needed one. And that changes your point of view. It was a case of ebike riding or no riding. At all. Ebikes it was then. It's a double edged s...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles
I'll not lie - I look at these achievements with a massive amount of respect and awe. However, I'm also aware of the fact that they are largely made possible due to the density of population and the nature of the terrain, neither of which I'd swap for my local area 😉 I like the idea of a coast-to-c...

Re: No expense spared kit wish list
Some kit, some not..... 1. My health back to how it was 3 or 4 years ago. So basically a piece of kit that can reverse the effects of some fecked up DNA. That'll be expensive! 2. The time to enjoy riding/bikepacking/touring without keeping an eye on the clock/calendar (and with some open borders...)...

Re: Veloviewer map - explorer tiles
Is there anything stopping me from signing up to free trial of strava, creating loads of routes and saving the files to my pc/Garmin then ditching it when the trial ends and keep the routes? I'm pretty sure not. If you save the files as GPX on a PC then there'd be no issue. On the other hand, I'm s...
