Re: Feeling the cold more as you get older?

Funnily enough I've been thinking the same the last two winters. Body, legs + arms are fine but my head seems to feel the cold more. I haven't changed my helmet which would have been an obvious one. I now find a skull cap has to be worn on most winter rides now compared to a few years ago, and no I ...

Re: Bivvy a month 2014 thread.

Managed a quick sneaky camp out last night. It was an impulsed decision to go as the time was running out for this months one. Left the house at 5pm in the motor and parked up a little later. A short ride got me to a suitable spot sheltered behind a wall with a good view in the receding light. The n...

Re: Putting faces to names.

I think there's something special riding a route you've planned for the first time..... Yep that feeling you get when you realise that those hours pouring over the OS maps, Geograph & Google maps actually transcend into a rideable route. That when you freewheel back to the car wet and tired tha...

Re: Cooking tips

This may not be everyones cup of tea but I do love to chill out in front of a camp fire in the evening. For summer camps I even take some steak to cook over the flames (yum yum) :) On my January camp I boiled water with a bag of meatballs (the Look what we found type), and let it boil to heat the st...

Video from a couple of years back!!

After getting a new external hard drive over xmas I transferred all my files from my old PC on to it. Anyway I came across some GoPro footage from a ride camp trip from early summer 2012!! Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoVENi3ybOM And one of my fat bike vids made it to Singletracks mid...

Managed to get my first one in so I'm hoping it'll give me the drive to carry this on throughout the year. A 17 miler from the doorstep in North Wales to a nice sheltered spot near Aber Falls. The weather was fine and I really enjoyed it :) The video of the trip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qU0Q...
