Re: World Cycle Race

Rules state that when you stop for a flight or ferry the clock stops. Mike Hall made it to Newhaven (58.5 miles in 3h23m) and is resting up for a 11pm ferry to Dieppe. Sounds like he's tactically planning well then. thats going to make working out who's leading quite difficult for us then. Would no...

Re: Hydration Bladders

Been thinking that the new camelback bladders in their new waist mounted sacs would be ideal for using in a frame bag. The pipe take off point and the fact their desined to be laying flat should be better for our purposes. Just need to see one in the flesh to check this out.

Re: World Cycle Race

Oops take that back. Michael Hutchinson is at Dover which has got to be quicker for getting going again, Mike is going to be sat at Newhaven for a while, and on the ferry longer. Interesting choices already.

Re: 29" rims?

No contest for me have hammered 32 spoke Stans wheels in 29 flavour for 2 years and I hit stuff hard. Loaded trips no problem. The biggest plus is not having had a flat tyre for 2 years, all those tubes carried around for nothing. The new socket 2 version rims are one of the best bike products ever ...

Re: Storage 'Inside' bikes.

Good idea for those items you dont need day to day. Ive put small spares wrapped in a duct tape strip inside my bars before. Often wondered if a bike will develop with a large downtube water tank, probably not but it does seem a waste of good storage space. The hollow inside of a stem is a good secu...

Mark it's the Zpacks cuben fibre Bivy, I went for the extended front and the bathtub groundsheet. The pole is their own carbon 3 piece one which is silly light and packs up small but Ian says its also silly flexible in any wind.

Re: [Geeks Corner] Show me your spreadsheets...

A few things I would find usefull # the ability to list all your selected items in a particular category to see say for example what food you are carrying in total on the main sheet if it is spread around your luggage. # A filter by category on the Kit List as I can imagine some peoples list would b...

Friend bought a prototype Race29 of on-one. He has been hammering it all last year, one thing that strikes you is the massive tyre clearance. Its pretty similar to the Lurcher apart from the head down setup

Very sad feel for you, in a similar situation. Coming to the conclusion that titanium is NOT the material its cracked (sic) up to be for longevity for a mountainbike frame. Re: Anyone else waiting for the postman?

Z-paks bivy arrived in the uk on 24th dec according to USPS tracking..................and then dissapeared.
tracking notice says customs duty due awaiting collection
Never had a notice requesting duty payment, No-one in Post Office can find it and customs are impossible to talk to.
