Re: What does your perfect event look like?

Just reading through the posts and have to agree that a ride to a grid ref to get the next waypoint sounds brilliant. Even better if all the points are on one map?
I’m sure it will be fun whatever you plan.

Re: Laminating printed maps

Maps are great but following someone with a GPS is easier.... But, go to Bing Maps, zoom in to the area you need, Print Screen & into Paint, Print, trim, Laminate two prints together to get it double sided & your good to go. You can wrap them around your water bottle & they should then s...

Sounds great. I liked the TCW and a bikepacking variation on it would be a wonderful alternative.

I've always enjoyed driving up on the day. leaving 5.30 to 6 from Torbay. missing a lot of the traffic while listening to the Stones, Led Zep & once into Wales Stone roses second coming. If you can get a foot long sub for Llanidloes on the way in you can have half for lunch & have half for a...

Great effort, that’s some trip! Especially the bottom of the moors bit.

Si is right about the Dartmoor way. A great way to have a story to tell...

Anyway, keep up not being soft!

Really enjoyed that too.

Did you have the guidebook or just the GPX file? Definitely a good inspiration for a ride. Also agree with you & Jam Bo, that bit around the bottom of the moors is a pain!

Bright yellow Carnac gloves from Planet X. Haven't tried them in really cold weather but I was surprised by the warmth and not feeling the wind. https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CLCGC/carnac-gripper-gloves Probably not for really cold weather but time will tell. I've also got their 365 race gloves that...

Not so much the postman but yodel brought a new pair of tyres for the road/adventure bike.
Vitoria from Planet X.
Only ordered them Fri lunchtime so I'm very impressed with the delivery times!

No photos as they are black and round etc.
