On a previous purchase I was sent a couple of these with the tarp.

Ain't got a clue what it is. You'll know, I'm sure.

After a poor show last year, nearly got caught out again.

In the heart of Sherwoode, well away from the Merrie Men.

Can concur with others that a 3 season bag with a Cumulus 150 quilt is plenty warm enough at -7.

Re: We now have actual bikepacking tents.

Hi Box, I'm not sure to be honest. Maybe all my ancestors being Derbyshire miners (including the women and children too probably!) has caused a filtering down via the genes, giving me an interest in the 'extractive industries' and holes in the ground generally (dunno if genes can transmit 'interest...

Dropper posts

I've never had a bike with a dropper post - The bike I'm getting in Feb has a dropper post option - Is there any worth in having one for bike-packing duties?

As I understand it, your body needs water to process food and so it would make sense that if you eat less, you'll need to drink less.

Re: 2019 - what you got planned?

Work in 2018 meant I had time to concentrate on family all year and so got very little done on the two wheel front - Now 2019 will not have the same constraints so WRT and BB200 for sure and possibly that Hungarian ride Stu posted today. Other than that BAM and just pointing the bike anywhere betwee...

Got some nice stuff - Highlight being an hour in a Vulcan simulator. Amongst the gifts I got Mrs Mac (Shari) was my reworking of "My Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder to "My Shari Amour" with yours truly providing the vocals. After twenty five takes, I realised it was never going to...

Mrs Mac's dad died when she was quite young - There has been a gap in the family history about him during the years of the Second World War.
