Re: WTD - Hardtail MTB
Thanks for the offers folks. Mustang -Thanks but not quite what I'm after. Stu - Thanks but just a tad too pricey. Dave - Bugger, that's tempting, more money than I was thinking, but Ti... I've got some thinking to do. I'll contact those whose offers are within scope of what I'm after in the next da...

WTD - Hardtail MTB
Hello, My son is making ever louder noises about joining me on bike-packing trips and see what this lark is about. He'll have to use one of my bikes initially. Thereafter his interest may rapidly wane... So, I'm after a reasonably priced medium hardtail for him to have as his own, as even if he does...

Sorry I didn't make it clear I wasn't referring to trespass (and sorry again, I was being flippant with point b )
In fact, forget most of what I said, I keep forgetting the (criminal) law only relates to footpaths forming part of the causeway, usually a pavement.

Re: Where the bridleway ends...
^ Has not been passed into law. Last case law I read on this was 2019 I think. Cycling Uk's interpretation of the case law, whilst logical, is muddled and misunderstands aspects of the case law. Hypothetically it would be worth someone actually being prosecuted for pushing along a footpath as I'm su...

Re: Where the bridleway ends...
The fact that there is hardly any caselaw regarding pushing your cycle along a footpath shows that there have been few, if any, prosecutions for doing so. There is an offence of doing so and the caselaw people use to justify breaching it is usually misinterpreted. My view is that I pick which footpa...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.
Not Friday and not particularly cheery but bear with me. Visiting my Uncle out in the rurals, we were driving down the very narrow single track lane to his cottage when I see a cat in the distance. I slow down as I approach but there are loads of country cats around there and they usually pop into a...

Re Inflammable Material, I remember having to put a 2p coin on the stylus head so stop the thing jumping off the record, the only vinyl it happened with.

For those of an age perhaps (most of us probably...) Just watched Basically, Johnny Moped. A quirky but gentle documentary on, funnily enough, Johnny Moped. Well worth it for those with an interest in the nascent Uk punk scene.
It's on Netflix at the moment.

That said I also remember the change shack on our drilling rigg* regularly freezing up and so having no working showers. Not quite so dand...

We love Christmas, mainly because we can all get together as a family and this year my son is home for it for the first time in years. It's always chilled and even though the youngest of us is 30, there is still a ripple of excitement about it. So whether you are a festive frollicker or humbollocker...

Three of the four boxes give the album title (from one of Stoke's finest) - I think Stu is being coy, he definitely knows this album.
