Me too

There’s a definite DIRTi type itch

I suspect if I knew SWMBOS events industry job was secure I’d be hitting a few drams later before hitting the **** it just buy it button

I do wonder if there’s a hidden bonus to going high with the pricing options.

Re: Runners input please

Inov 8 X Talon Ultra 260. Wider than Mud Claws which are too narrow for me. I’d prefer the 260s to have a smaller heel to toe drop but I seem happy enough in them in pretty much any off road terrain from fell to field edge paths. I like them enough that I’m now down to 2 pairs* of running shoes rath...

Re: Photo comp We have a Winner!

I always get a bit embarrassed on the rare occasions when I win something I can understand that. I distinctly remember the last thing I won, it was for a presentation* I gave on politics. Age 8, I won a Mars bar. Don’t actually remember what it was about, I took the piss out of Thatcher somehow.

Re: Any Exposure deals going...

I’ve had a similar dilemma on wanting to cover on and off road riding (using two different bikes which counted against the dynamo option) I now have a Strada SB and for off road will team that up with a helmet light. Hi, I had a place on the gritfest 2020, which is now transferred to the 2021 event https://gritfest.co.uk/ But I've just signed up to do taunus bikepacking again, which is the same week/end, so would anyone like my place on the gritfest? Re: For the runners amongst us.

Needs to be really, really bad for it to go on pretty much where I’m at. Do you want to get wet from rain or sweat. I think the jacket I’m currently using is actually the predecessor to the Aether, old enough I can’t even find an online review for it. Also eVent, not gore tex like I mentioned earli...

All considering where you’d be running, I’d not go too light with a running specific jacket.

Re: For the runners amongst us.

I do wish I'd got into running a lot earlier. I can definitely see the attraction in heading off into wilder and higher places with the ease and simplicity of running kit. I'm certainly interested in what lightweight waterproofs are favoured as I might stretch to some hillier running in 2021. I act...

I’m optimistic by the second half of next year we’ll see something relatively normal. Not completely normal but nothing stays normal anyway. We’re hopefully likely to have multiple vaccines and an increasing range of effective treatments to help prevent serious illness. What seems likely to make a b...

Just watched the film, loved that.

Greg, I’m pretty envious if I’m honest. The hills of Wales were my introduction to mountains and are quite an emotive place. The BGR never really triggered anything but the PBR and RR do.

Re: For the runners amongst us.

Nice long days and a reasonable chance of being dry but not too dry and not too hot. I just double checked the route out of interest, and I’ve run* every one of the hills. Not all at once mind you  I can’t quite place the line from Llanberis to Elidr Fawr, does it follow one of the quarry incl...

Pretty much my ideal duration/distance for a long run that. Makes for a brilliant day out but doesn’t destroy you for weeks/months.
