Re: Not the day I'd hoped for....

Many thanks chaps for all the messages. I had a good long chat yesterday with the PC that saw me at the time of the incident, he’s coming out to me this week for a full statement. The car and occupants are “known” to them, there’s other leads that they have and connections to other offences as well....

Composite - Neil - PM’d
RG - Yeah, scary, almost more so when I run through it in my mind.
All my damage will heal though. Riding on the road again.... dunno..... we’ll see.

Re: Not the day I'd hoped for....

Cheers chaps, just spoken with plod - they’ve marked it as GBH; and I wasn’t the only one taken down down - up to three riders so far :-(

Not the day I'd hoped for....

Well that didn't go the way I'd hoped...... Last Tuesday, Lockdown day one. Not been out for a ride for 5 or 6 weeks and having a weeks' leave (should have been in Spain but that was not happening). I need to go out and ride. Just for an hour. Close to home. What could possibly go wrong...? 45 odd m...

Re: Beta Blockers

Hi LR, I'm another one on beta blockers but a relatively low dose for a year now. I've found that while my RHR is fairly unchanged at mid to high 40s, max HR has dropped from 175-180 down to about 145 or so. I was a bit of a diesel before so that's not changed too much either, it's not so big a deal...

Well that was a bloody good weekend!
Weather proved interesting, but then it is December I s’pose....
Sorry to see the state of your jacket Reg, You should take solace in the fact that having crashed in front of me twice, I managed to not land on top of you!

Re: Jones Loops - again

Thanks chaps, Mariner - I bought your old Spearfish (sold it on later), but really got on well with the bike while I had it. Never tried loop bars on it even though I had a set on my Ogre. Got another FS bike now, and a set of the Geoff bars so I might put them together and see what happens.

Slight hijack - Bob, how do you like the Jones bars on the Spearfish? Don't see many sets on FS bikes.

Re: OAPs daily release (or 3)

I reckon that's a pretty fair account Reg, the Saga Seaside Excursion fully living up to expectations. You were even pretty excited about the coach trip at the end. A properly excellent couple of days though, with a wide range of weather presented for our delectation. https://live.staticflickr.com/6...

Orbea Gain E-Bike - size small

I doubt that it will appeal to many folks here, but I have for sale my Orbea Gain D31 E gravel bike. I'm looking for £1,850.00 for the bike. I'm based near to Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire. I bought the bike new in March 2019, it’s done a few hundred miles in the last six months but is in pret...

Can I beg/borrow/steal or even buy an MTB please!!

As a result of events earlier in the year I sold all the bikes that could be ridden offroad, as well as road ones. I bought ebikes that have served me well, but they're off as well now. I'm therefore precisely one MTB short of actually having an MTB. I've a couple of trips planned soon, in the event...

Can I claim the Barley saddle bag please Stu, I'll PP across £35.
No great hurry for it, I've ordered one of the bamboo shirts, they can go together in the post when that arrives

Well, I'm walking around this morning now like a dog with two d1cks!! Been to see the Doc this morning, and after 9 months of visits to doctors and consultant, CT and MRI scans, treadmill stress tests, HR holter tests, blood tests, ECGs, echo cardiograms and more, the cap on my heart rate has been r...

Re: Bottle cage mount repositioners

I needed to do this on a small road bike frame a while ago. Piece of alloy bar about 10mm wide x 3 or 4 thk, maybe 150mm long (cut to size...). Drill and countersink holes to match holes on the frame, drill and tap holes in the new locations for your cage. Pennies. But no photo, sorry.

Re: Bivvy a month 2019

After issues at home kyboshed both WRT and 3LT trips, I wanted a wee night out. The bike was still packed and untouched from last weekend so everything was ready to go with little further prep needed. Friday morning came and the bike and kit loaded in the car, off to work. Straight to dad's house af...

Ah now, Saturday it is then! Much better idea.
I’m in for this now that things are moving in the right direction at home.
Are we still starting at 4 or earlier now?
