Re: Hot ... innit?
I really struggle in the heat, anything above about 20deg is really bad for me. Not just uncomfortable but actually effects my health/wellbeing. I had a BBQ lunch with friends on Thursday, loafing on Friday and a ride on Saturday, consistently above 20deg here for most of last week, particularly the...

Re: What Gravel ****** brakes - GRX worth the dosh?
Not 12 speed unfortunately, otherwise yeh that would be vaguely exciting. The mechs are 10 and 11spd compatible though, I have the same mech on my 11spd tourer and 10spd cx/commuter.
Fingers crossed on 12spd drop bar shifters soon.

Re: What Gravel ****** brakes - GRX worth the dosh?
I’m currently running a 11spd Rival set up on my gravel/touring bike, 12-50 Sunrace cassette, with no issues at all. I am happy with my BB7s so the braking thing isn’t a problem for me however. In terms of rear mechs all Sram have the same ratio so you can choose to use mtb mechs, or not. I choose n...

I’ll take the Rival shifters if ZeroDarkBivi doesn’t want them.

Not yet no, I’m still waiting for some stuff to arrive to finish it off.
Lovely frameset though, the finish/welding is very neat, as you would expect at the price I guess. It’s the little details that I like and the attention to said details, internal dynamo cabling for instance:).

Re: E-Bikepacking
I can entirely see how that could, in fact is an issue in terms of kids effectively “chipping” e bikes. But from a personal standpoint it would make it illegal for me to go biking once I get to the point where I can’t manage unassisted. Given the fact that I’m pretty confident that continuing to rid...

Re: E-Bikepacking
I get the worrying about 50mph uphill etc, but certainly on the flat there are probably lots of folks on here that could actually ride through town breaking the speed limit on a normal bike:) I’m at that point now where I am better on a bike than on foot, as my legs are slowly getting more and more ...

You said “perhaps” a case could be made for the disabled. I removed the word perhaps.
Maybe I should have added “surely”?

Re: E-Bikepacking
I imagine that recharging options severely limit the choice of routes unless carrying multiple battery packs/. Personally I don't think they should be legal off road . An argument could be made for those with a disability. Isn't part of the joy in bikepacking the sense of acheiment in arriving at s...

Re: Wtd: Sub 600g bag or quil
I mentioned this in another post about vat etc. I received a mesh inner from them a couple of weeks ago and there were no additional charges. It did take about 5-6 weeks to get here though if that’s a consideration.
It’s really well made and pretty light and he mailed out quickly too.
