Carry on Camping
I have just watched this film again, not sure how many times it is now but lots in the last 40 years or so! No doubt it is not particularly PC but boy it`s funny in a harmless dated kind of fashion, I love the innuendos. Trying to decide if I identify more with Bernard Breslaw`s character or with Te...

Re: Christmas!
I have been thinking about this thread a lot, I had a very happy childhood and Christmas was to me always a magical time, as I have got older the magic has faded completely and been replaced with a sadness for those long passed times. Sorry its not a very cheery post, I am going to try and have a gr...

Re: 135mm singlespeed hubs?
Thanks for the replies, here is another question, what are the main benefits of using a single speed specific hub over using a 10/11 speed hub with spacers? apart from needing fewer spacers?

135mm singlespeed hubs?
Have these gone the way of the Dinosaur? I am looking to build a singlespeed specific rear wheel (I dont really have a problem with using a "normal 10/11 speed hub, ) and would like to find a 135mm QR singlespeed hub, any reccomendations? or are they now confined to history?? I am sure Chris Ki...

Re: Change of lifestyle maybe ?
I have theory , I am no psycologist (cant even spell it), but politically correct or not, the Man of the family has for thousands of years and countless generations has been the one who hunts and gathers, protects and provides. So maybe we (Men) are, like it or not, hardwired to "work" or ...

Re: Can you spare a fiver?
Sent, didnt ride this year but I remember last time (3/4 years ago?) the very kind lady serving the tea and soup etc was sleeping on a camp bed behind the counter when we left at 4 Am, she had a sign beside her saying if anyone wanted some food cooked to wake her! Hard to forget that level of kindne...

Very sad news, he always seemed to be a gentle happy person who was friends with the world.
His vids made me very envious of his travels.

To quote Calum (Jenny`s co walker)
" I`m happy I`ve done it but wouldn`t do it again"
Sound like fun of the type 2 variety! ... and most of the stupid things that I have thought were a good idea!

Re: Idont know what to say!
Well, I will try to describe it. It is on Bikepacking Scotland`s FB page. Imagine a young Gent who looks like he spends more time pumping iron than riding a bike, he has on lycra bib shorts .( think of the novelty aprons that look like the wearer has on ladies undies etc) these bib shorts look like ...
