Re: Glove 'system' advice sought

As with everyone else. For many years I sought the perfect glove combo for when the winter hits. For past few years I had given up on breathable and waterproof (you can either have one or the other I concluded) and conceded to some NorthFace Gaunlets which are totally waterproof. Used them for a 500...

Re: FS: Rockshox Reba RL 120mm Boost forks

I'm still in two minds about selling these. So hopefully a bear will be able to convince me either way. Stu thinks I should toughen up and just resign mywelf to rigid Have you used the Prongs yet? I'd give them a good work out then decide whether rigid is best for all of your routes. I have rigid a...

FS: Rockshox Reba RL 120mm Boost forks

I'm still in two minds about selling these. So hopefully a bear will be able to convince me either way. Stu thinks I should toughen up and just resign mywelf to rigid for life!! The story is that I got these after realising the Travis Prongs were out of my budget for a rigid fork. But then Travis go...

Got myself... One thing to note: the Travis come wrapped in a blanket and the build quality is just :geek: :-bd absolutely vaguely exciting... I could literally fondle them for hours!!! Re: So.. whats the best rigid fork you've ridden??

Got myself a Rockshox Reba Boost on the cheap from ebay but then Travis emailed me to say he had found a dusty Prong under the cobwebs (had a slight imperfection that you'd not notice)... Now have 2 Boost forks and in the dilemma of which to try out/run first (suspension or rigid)... Thoughts welcom...

Hey. Thanks for that buddy. We can compare notes on how they ride on rigid aswell as hopefully front sus next year some time. Re: So.. whats the best rigid fork you've ridden??

Thanks guys. Theres plenty of pockets of discussions about rigid forks all over the net. But nowwhere you can see a fully comprehensive section of real world mentions. MTBR is all good and well but the bearded folk obviously don't visit there very often. Regards the Prongs by Travers.. I've had a ve...

Re: Rigid fork for SolarisMAX

Hmm, thoughts have moved to the possibility of riding the outer Hebrides but my SolarisMAX has 120mm suspension forks and B+ rubber. I'd already been contemplating a second set of wheels in 29er flavour... But it would make sense to have a set of rigid forks as well (would come in handy for the B+ ...

Re: So.. whats the best rigid fork you've ridden??

I'll go first. Chronologically: Boardman 26er carbon fork including steerer. Came on the team rigid and I only got rid of cos I had a 26er Fox that needed using. Unbelievably comfy for a carbon fork and managed to do a loop including Jacobs Ladder on the fork with inly very minimal hand numbness and...

For the record. The carb Transmitter arrived. A thing of beauty it looks and feels solidly built and stiff... I never owned one but reminds me of what a Cove Stiffee used to feel like (though I'm not sure I actually ever held the bare frame in my hand)... The scientific stuff: 1262g but feels as tho...

Re: Sonder Transmitter carbon Frankenstein build

That's a B+ tyre in both cases. The 29er combo is only a little taller using Ardents. You're right though, there is tons of clearance. Thankyou kind sir for maming my plans of building the beast a little cheaper and easier (until I can afford a decent front sus)... Being boost frame. Does it mean w...
