Re: Off Topic: Any got any plastering exp of tools & opinions

If you’re plastering onto plasterboard in the loft, why not use tapered boards then tape and joint. Much quicker and loads less mess. Not to mention cheaper.
Can be sanded the following day and painted.

If you want to take damage insurance out with the hire company it’ll be quite expensive but if you use questor you can get a years cover for under £50. We hire about 4/5 cars a year so it makes it super cheap for us. Don’t hire from any companies with an office at the airport, if you get a taxi to a...

Regarding fighting it, one of our friends is a professional ecologist based near Bristol, who does these kind of wildlife/fauna survey type things for pre plaining/development/objections work etc. Let me know if you'd like her details for any potential advice etc. Not Jo Robinson (Donnelly) is it?

Hoping this doesn't happen. Happy to object when the planning application is published. One thing I would say with regards to the valley is it's not an ideal site for wannabe rally drivers with no run off, when they get things wrong it could end up with a spectacular roll down to the valley floor.
