Re: Mechanical Hydraulic Brakes...
I rebuilt my ogre a couple years back and after some worthy recommendations from other Boners went for a set of trp spyke brakes. Theyve saved me on all sorts of potential disasters from the HT 550 and other Scottish epics to month long touring in France and Spain as well as hacking round Dartmoor. ...

Carnmore descent is still in (The window into Fisherfield) but not that superb descent to Dundonnel house overlooking An Teallach - coffin road above Croftown's chimney pots was the crux for me

The coffin road is dead and buried! I will stick two fingers up to the finger post as I zoom past - assuming all goes well to that point!

Re: Revo/Redeye input/output brain fart
Got mine back on wednesday after sending it last Friday. Id snapped the lead - its a long story. On another occasion id plugged it in the wrong way round on the revo. (easily done in the dark so I've marked the redeye lead) Exposure fixed it then as well. They set a very high bar with their service ...

Insurance on trips
Were away for a few weeks on our bikes in Europe- we thought we were covered by our bank for travel insurance - but unpicking the detail its OK for casual cycling but not travelling to and from the destination on our bikes. Another mis-sold bank product, but let's not go there. Do Boners bother with...

Sealskin alternative
Can anyone remind me of the alternative brand to sealskins that was discussed here a while back - there was talk of the alternative being better due to it using a waterproof membane that sealskin had stopped using. It may have all been a cider induced dream, but im sure its somewhere here in this re...

water bottle slung from down tubes
Im looking ta carry more water than my normal 1litre on a trip I've got coming up in a hotter than Devon destination. Looking around at the options it seems that nearly every photo of an American bike has a mandatory wide kleen kanteen slung under the down tube. it looks the part like having bottles...

exposure lights
A quick note to say I've received some super sharp service from exposure lights from their service and warranty team about a revo. I know there was thread earlier about brand loyalty and USE were well liked - so this is just another thumbs up for them. I'm feeling so loyal I may go and buy one of th...

I also found a massive button on the screen in GPSies saying "MODIFY TRACK" Its telling that I go to this forum first though - flipping brilliant.

Stitching GPX files together
Hello everyone. Can gpx files be stitched together? For example on a site like GPSies? I have three gpx files saved as GPX tracks that map a monster route close to home and I want to cover it with one gpx file for sharing. Is it possible to modify a track at various points along the route if I find ...

Nice one Sean. I met you and your wife the previous year at tyndrum and it was crystal clear how supportive she was (even describing in great detail your adventure table and how she puts up with it at home! I hope thats not meant to be a secret I've let out...)

Caffeine powered Adrian Baskerville is still moving forward and will be dropping down to the sanctuary of Cannich soon. At 64 he's a true Highland Trail veteran and tough as old boots. It will be interesting to see what he does next.
