Not got a 2 but on the 1 it is just reinforced material, there is a gromit on the bottom of the innertent for the base of the pole to locate.

Re: Clear out, old frames
I also have if anyone is interested a pair of shimano zee brakes front and rear, with a few sets of spare pads, I think that all the calipers suffer from the microleak problem there are 2 fitted and one spare that i took off previously.

Re: Squealing rear discs/pads
Are they shimano? Ive had this problem a few times with shimano brakes, i tried changing pads but it kept coming back, i even changed one of the calipers which cured it for a while but then it came back after a time. I think its the micro leak problem as ive just had them apart and can see oil on th...

Free to a good home (just pay postage or collect) Titus el guapo 29er frame: size large 140mm travel frame not as long low and slack as new bikes but still good fun/lockdown project for s...

Re: man cave build help
If I had a man cave that big i think id be tempted to partition some bits off si i could have a dirty area for working/workshop part. Then have a walkin wardrobe/camping gear store, then go for a bike cupboard where they are in two layers and stored in pull out draws like you see people put in the b...

Re: QR v Thru Axles
On one of our bikes we run dt swiss rws skewers, the 9mm and 10mm ones in qr dropouts, as we had hubs that we could change the end caps on. This works as a nice halfway house for us.

Its good, you just use the forecast to decide what to take not weather to go out.
Rain = packraft
Sun = bike
Rain/sun = take both.

Re: Do I want a...
I think it depends on what you want it for as I think there are two distinct groups of fat bikes now, there seem to be trail oriented geometry ones and then bikepacking/adventure/lots of xc type miles ones. The calibre dune is good but only if your short, the size large is similar to many small endu...

Re: Bivvy a month 2019
I found that the aquaduct is actually less scary in a packraft as its lower to the side than a canal boat so its quite difficult to see over. As long as you are on it first I think you have right of way, as you only enter if the exit is clear. Was a great trip and most of the canal boats had already...

Bivi trousers
Im after some advice on bivi trousers, more specifically what you wear to bivi in. Im thinking of using my quilt for the wrt which is going to be on the cold side so after some suitable leg wear. My options as i see it are to go with something like rab powerstretch/patagonia r1 tights or some synthe...

If you had access to a pack raft id be tempted to try and play snakes and ladders is Scotland, ride till you reach a suitable river, bimble down it when bored ride to the next and keep going and see where you end up.
