Re: FS: Singular Ti Gryphon f&f - £875

I'm very tempted, but do I need another Gryphon? I suppose I could swap the bits over and sell the frame.

Have you got pics of the frame bag please?

Re: Wanted: 26" Forks and Disk Brakes, Wheels

Just to add to the confusion I have a pair of Rock Shok Reba's from 2010ish, taken from a Cotic Soda so I think they are around 120mm travel with 190mm of steerer left - £100. I've also got a pair of Mavic 717 on Hope hubs, about 10 years old but they still spin well - £80. Thinking about it I've al...

Re: do it all bike. (i should know)

I would second the Gryphon, especially the new ones with the rack points. I use mine on and off road & is always the first bike I grab to the point I'm thinking of selling my Spearfish. I've got a rabbit hole rim and a 2.4 ardent in the front at the minute and it looks like it would fit in the b...

Re: Commute by bike, How far, how often

Once in 2 years, its wasn't the distance (40 mile each way) that put me off it was the traffic - it felt like I had a target painted on my back, especially on the way in.

So now its either drive or most likely work from home.

Sounds interesting, I'd like to try the longer route but will know nearer the time how fit/unfit I am.

I've got some Crikey, how much ones too, they are the only I've tried that have either stayed up or not been that tight they cut off the blood supply - but they are quite expensive.

I'm in the same boat, begged, kajouled and pleaded but no one was interested. Also doing the lite and after last weekends ride through a recently muck spread field I don't think map reading is my strong point.

Re: Singular Rooster 29+ Kickstater

I've got a fat bike and it's easily the most ridden bike I have, it's not the fastest but for all round fun and genuine ride anywhere ability it can't be beat. But I can also see that 29+ does make sense too and could be used for 90% of what a fat bike does, just trying to decide if I need another b...

Re: Gone but not forgotten.

I'm almost in the same situation, I bought a Cotic Soda as my forever bike about 10 years ago but haven't ridden it for 12 months as I can't seem to get a comfortable position on it anymore. This week I got a Gryphon frame which is going to be my new forever bike and sell the Soda to fund the other ...

For me the ramin edges it as forks at this price range are like pogo sticks and 1x9 seems like a good idea as i keep mashing front mechs for some reason.

You could probably get away with keeping the frame and changing the wheels instead - on certain frames possibly. But is there much of a difference between 26 & 27.5 anyway?

I'm planning on heading out to Anglesey on Saturday to ride across Red Wharf Bay and back through the forest, so for me the 2 day Anglesey trip would be the best option.
