EDIT; On mobile, the pictures appear to be cut off! Yeah - happens with me too, but they're fine on a big screen. Looks like you've got the hang of this bivvying thing though! Yeah, I'm loving it Scott, I'm not ever going to say I'm proficient as the bivvys go on, but I guess "managing" w...

Re: Bivvy a month 2019
Hey up, Been out for a play with some more of you guys and had a great time! There's a lot of firsts for me every time I go out, this first was sleeping in a bivvy bag (mostly because I don't own a tent since the guy on eBay kinda messed me around! Anyways, I've attached a couple of pictures for you...

Re: Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...
That road is normally very quiet. A lot of land thereabouts is owned by the Graythwaite Estate; pink "private" signs everywhere. If you're worried, you could always stop 1km to the south, then follow the footpath up towards High Dam, or find somewhere off a bridleway in Grizedale Forest; ...

Re: Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...
Pretty sure everyone on here will have jibbed over plenty of gates and bivvied in not strictly legit places. Just try to work out how likely it is that someone might go through it in the morning, and if you can be arsed listening to someone being an arse if they do. Brilliant, Thanks for the input....

Re: Borrowing someones route from Strava
I create a route, save as private, then download, upload to Komoot and then edit away from there. I'm a paid up member of Strava until April, unsure if I'm going to keep giving them money or not, if I can't download it as a .gpx on free, that would make me re think...

Planning A Route & Finding A Gate...
If you where to see this en route to your final destination but you have seen on Google Maps that there's plenty of trees to get away enough from the road and lights from cars to bivvy out , would you go around the gate and head up there anyways or would you consider not and finding somewhere else? ...
